The first 32-bit game console, the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer was let down by a lack of third-party support, a crowded home console market, and a hilariously expensive launch price of $700! (That's a shade under $1,254 in today-money, currency fans!)
Despite all this, a number of good games came out on the system, and a few franchises that would establish themselves throughout the PS1 era began here.
