Adventure is released on the Atari 2600, becoming famous for its hidden easter egg. Lunar Lander and Asteroids are released by Atari, with the latter displacing Space Invaders in popularity in the US. Miyamoto starts off with Radar Scope, which is a fairly large success in Japan, but a smaller one in the US. The very first handheld console with cartridges, Microvision, is released, but fails to get any traction.
