Cactus 2.0!
This article has just been started and needs the article basics added.
Help us out and add them.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive started out as a console port of Counter-Strike: Source with more HD Brown™ and fog, but has since become more focused on its competitive matchmaking mode. They actually updated de_dust in this one!

Unused Text

Weapon Qualities

"Rarity_Immortal_Weapon" "Clandestine"
"Rarity_Arcana_Weapon" "UNNAMED"

These unused weapon quality names can be found in csgo_english.txt. Both quality names are actually present and used in DotA 2, so it's strange that they are present in the game files for Counter Strike.

Unused Models

Hmmm...
To do:
  • The CS:Source hostage models are still included in the game files.
  • There are also non-orange jumpsuit CS:GO hostages left over from the old hostage mode, from before they changed its mechanics to the current one.
  • When the game was in beta, there was an MP5 model. Is this still in?
  • There was also an alternate skin for the Desert Eagle in from day one, but that might've been removed now that weapon skin inventory items have been implemented.

SAS Variant E

The perfect look for taking out that snowman in cs_office!

The ctm_sas_variante player model is an SAS soldier in white and gray camouflage. The other variants all wear blue under their gear. The hood of this variant's gas mask is black instead of white, and their goggles are pink.
