Gargoyle's Quest II - The Demon Darkness is a prequel to Gargoyle's Quest for the Gameboy. Both games features similar gameplay style, which combines RPG elements with side-scrolling action in a fantasy setting.

On the title screen, Firebrand has yellow-colored eyes. But there is also an unused graphic tiles for red-colored ones.

Regional Differences

The title screen went through quite a bit of changes when getting localized for USA and Europe. Flames and white flashing were removed, T.M. was changed to TM., subtitle was added, and Firebrand's face is now slightly less expressive. Strangely, European version still says 1992 despite being released in 1993.
