Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon/Regional Differences
This is a sub-page of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
| This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. Notes: I deleted the giant table of unsorted text differences, and am adding that info back piece by piece as I categorize it, summarize it, explain it, etc. In the meantime, some stuff will be missing; for the full list of differences, see the earliest revision of this page. |

Ghost names
Names of single-player ghosts that appear more than once in the game are singular in the North American version and plural in the European version; those are not listed below.
Oddly, the only ScareScraper-exclusive ghost with a plural name is the first one: "Bomb Brothers" in the European version. The European localization team may have mistaken this for a single-player ghost when pluralizing all of them.

ScareScraper
There are a few widespread differences that affect lots of ScareScraper text:
- ScareScraper is called Thrill Tower (or, occasionally, simply Tower) in the European version.
- The North American version uses title case in many places that the European version uses sentence case; for example, Most Ghosts Captured in the North American version is Most ghosts captured in the European version.
- The North American version calls the floors either F1, F2, F3, and so on (or, sometimes, simply 1, 2, 3, etc.), whereas the European version calls them GF (ground floor), 1F, 2F, etc.
- The messages that Luigi can shout (Hey!, Help!, Thank you!, etc.) are enclosed in quotes in the North American version but not in the European version.
- A boss ghost in North America is simply a boss in Europe. Same with exit hatch and hatch.
Lines displaying only these differences have been removed from the tables below.
