The game was originally supposed to be a South Park game, unreleased due to Nintendo, Matt Stone, and Trey Parker not wanting to release an adult game for a system that was mostly owned by children. Several remnants of the original game remain in the Maya ROM.

A ROM of the original South Park game was eventually released in August 2018.[1]
