Beta 1.2.0.2

The new titlescreen.

This update was first released to those who are in the Google Play Beta Program for Minecraft: Pocket Edition on August 1, 2017. The beta update also rolled out for Windows 10 and Xbox One users. The "Pocket Edition" subtitle was as part of the "Better Together" update which serves to merge the Windows 10, Xbox One, VR/Hololens, and Nintendo Switch Editions into one game.

Similar to Minecraft's console ports, it displays useful and funny tips about the game while the game is creating, saving, or loading a world.

Title Screen Differences

The following are differences between 1.1.4 and 1.2.0.2.

  • The background panorama is different but it does tend to stutter.
  • The Minecraft: Pocket Edition logo was replaced with the more generic Minecraft logo.
