Much of the music has been replaced in the international versions.

Title Screen

Japan	International

The title has been changed outside of Japan, with clouds added to "OPEN", and the golf ball in the large "O" removed. The international title screen also has some minor modifications to the artwork: Peach's hair, the hats of Mario and Luigi, and Daisy's left arm have been redrawn, Mario's tongue is no longer visible, Luigi's smile is slightly smaller, and Daisy's legs have been shifted 3 pixels to the right. The trademark symbol has also been redrawn.

Tournament mode does not exist in the Japanese version.

Course Select

Japan	International

The course select in the Japanese version has a basic rectangle background. International versions replace this with an overhead view of the US; as in the previous menu. Additionally, only "JAPAN COURSE" is available from the start in the Japanese version, whereas in international versions "US COURSE", "JAPAN COURSE", and "UK COURSE" are available from the beginning.
