Pajama Sam's madcap adventures continue wholesale in Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning aren't so Frightening, in which Sam launches an assault on the headquarters of World Wide Weather in retaliation for their unjustifiable slaughter of millions of innocents. Then he feels kind of bad after he breaks the world's weather machines and helps patch things up, and the whole revenge plot just sort of disappears. Good family fun!

Unused Subtitles

Like its predecessor, this game has complete but hidden subtitles for all dialogue. They can be activated by using ScummVM, or by adding the line

TextOn=1

to hegames.ini.

Debug Mode

This game's debug mode is activated by adding the line

SputmDebug=60598

to hegames.ini or scummvm.ini. It functions exactly as in the first game:

Path Select

Pajama Sam 2 Path Select.png

C allows the player to select the locations of the Y-Pipe, Snowflake Inspector, Velocimomometer, Wingnut, and if applicable, SID. There is a version of this menu with a slicker interface in the "Game Options" menu, though it doesn't let the player set the Snowflake Inspector's exact location.

Room Select

Some guy spent all day Paint'ing this

G activates the room selection menu, which can send Sam to any location in the game.

Item Select

I brings up the item selection screen. Clicking on any item crosses it out and puts it in Sam's inventory.

Fast Mode

The combination Ctrl-F enables a turbo mode that makes all animations run much faster.

Note: ScummVM has two turbo modes, activated by Ctrl-F and Ctrl-G, that enable high-speed modes. These, however, are general functions that work on all games. ScummVM also disables all of the following key combinations.

Object Pickup

Ctrl-O prompts the user for an object number to pick up.

Go To Room

Ctrl-G brings up a prompt for a room number to go to.

Change Variable

Pressing Ctrl-E first asks for a variable number to change, then gives the value of that variable and prompts the user for a new value to set it to.
