So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Sega: Dramatically killing off female protagonists before Square made it cool. Phantasy Star 2 is a direct sequel to the first game, set 1000 years after it, and the first of the classic series for the Sega Genesis. Gone are the monotonous first person dungeons and in their place are monotonous third person mazes.

Unused Enemy

Hmmm...
To do:
get more information on this

The second member of the VAN group, VANLEADR, exists in the game's code but isn't used in any formations.

Version Differences

Cut Line

The English translation cut off a line due to a programming error. When examining the entrance to Climatrol Rolf's line of dialogue is truncated to just "The color of water around here certainly". The full line should be "The color of water around here certainly looks different. It seems like the water is coming from the bottom of the ocean." This was corrected when the game was translated into Portuguese.

Music

Hmmm...
To do:
Add some examples

Most tracks in the Japanese version had a loud beat in the background, which is gone in the American release.

Virtual Console

Hmmm...
To do:
Somehow apply and better document the patch changes.

The Virtual Console version of the game includes a plaintext ASM patch - complete with developer comments in Japanese - that is applied to the game in real-time. The patch changes the pallete of the cross on the Hospitals, and for some reason writes the ASCII string "GREEN CROSS FIX" to the ROM.
