Hmmm...
To do:
A prototype for the unreleased N64 Panel de Pon game has been discovered. When it's dumped, make a prototype page for it.

Pokémon Puzzle League, a localization of an unreleased N64 Panel de Pon game, continues the long tradition of replacing the series' original character designs with others from pre-existing franchises. Those poor fairies couldn't catch a break for the longest time.

Notable for being one of the few Nintendo 64 titles to use FMVs.

Dev Messages

Two clips of one of the developers proclaiming their love to two other people. They're located at 0x1D38180 in the US ROM.

The first features a non-native speaker of Japanese proclaiming his everlasting love to an Emi-chan. (エミちゃん、いつも愛してる。)

The second is a monotone "I love you, Liz."

There also seems to be a name listed at 0xC1980:

A disabled round select screen for the Spa Service mode can be re-enabled by changing the byte at the specified address for the corresponding region from 02 to 0B:

France xB5867

Hidden Menu

There is a hidden menu called NAME-LIST who have 8 hidden names in it :

  • guest
  • yukimi
  • emo
  • steve
  • bill
  • lamont
  • rory
  • yoon

the hidden scene, does not have textures and the names are located at coordinate x:0 y:0 without any inner/outer colors.

The Guest name and the fact there is 8 names, it's most probably a developpement process of the final name selector Menu.

When see credits in the game, theses names seem's refer to :

  • yukimi shimura (creative director producer)
  • emory georges (sound programmer)
  • steve petofalvi (production artist)
  • bill giese (game designer, puzzle creators)
  • ronald lamont hall (production artist)
  • rory johnston (sound programmer)
  • yoonjoon lee (programmer)

Unused graphics

On all versions of the game, there is some unused graphics :

There is also an image of Lt Surge that can be found only in the german version:

Hidden developpment message

On the french and german version, there is a hidden message (can be show by removing "hiden flag" on text)

here is the french version (the german has just "german" insted of "french" ):

PPL HiddenMessage IntroFrenchVersion.png

for USA and European version, it seem's just having the 2nd line (timestamp creation) but there is no possibility to display it.
