"Beta" Trailer

• Early Sora, Kairi, and Riku models, no high poly (cutscene) models yet.
• No sunset for Destiny Islands yet.
• Donald and Goofy have their Epilogue attire.
• Command Menu for controlling Donald and Goofy instead of actual AI. We would see a more simplified version of this control type in Re:coded.
• Early HUD character portraits.
• Olympus Coliseum has a strange character with a flag.
• Disney Castle playable.
• Kairi talking to Sora on deck has different angles and takes place yet again during the day.
• Cutscene of Riku on Big Ben in Neverland world.
• Reaction Command-like sequence where Sora runs up Darkside's arm towards the head and jump slashes.
• Keyhole on Destiny Island's door.
• Traverse Town seems different.
• Cutscene of Sora running towards Riku as if to attack him on crumbling Destiny Islands.
  • "That's right, Sora. Your body, your soul, your whole existence... they're all going to disappear!" This text is not in the final.
• Animation of Sora inserting the Keyblade into the door towards the viewer.
• Older logo for Kingdom Hearts.

Tokyo Game Show 2001 Trailer

• Much closer to the final version in this trailer.
• Early Sora model still. Donald and Goofy have their final appearances.
• Alice's trial cutscene is different.
• HUD character portraits are the same as the final's at this point in development.
• Shows Riku on Big Ben in Neverland briefly.
