Prerelease:Pac-Man World (PlayStation)/E3 1998

E3 1998 kicked off on May 28th 1998, and Pac-Man World (back then Pac-Man 3-D) was revealed for the first time at the event. The game had a playable demo featuring at least four different levels.

• 29:09 to 29:44. We can see an official trailer that shows us some areas (possibly from the four officially playable levels) but these appear to be from a previously build version that can be played at E3.
• 29:11 to 29:25. Possibly that area that is shown with a gameplay is of the "Cannonade" level.
• 29:26 to 29:29. It shows us a small part of the level "Ghost Maze".
• Between times 29:30 to 29:33 and 29:39 to 29:44. We can see that Pac-Man faces HMS Windbag but the design of this is somewhat early and the level itself also looks different.
• 29:33 to 29:38. It shows us a small early gameplay of the level "Pirate Fort".
  • We can see that the HUD is different than what was seen in the version shown at E3.

• 1:44:08 to 1:44:42. We can see a gameplay of the level "Pirate Fort".
• 1:44:36 to 1:44:42. We can see an early icon on the HUD that shows us the full face of Pac-Man. That when he is attacked or when he dies changes his facial expression.

• We can see the Pac-Man 3-D early title screen showing us the option to choose four levels.
• In a short clip around 1:49:59 we can see the early loading screen of the levels.
• 1:50:04 to 1:50:30. We can see a gameplay of the level "Pirate Fort".
  • 1:50:04 to 1:50:08. We can see an early HUD.
• 1:50:30 to 1:50:37. A small gameplay of the level "Ghost Maze".

Stargame Multishow

• A small clip of the E3 demo is seen 21 seconds into the video, showing the "Ghost Maze" level.
• A short clip around 1:52 we can see the early loading screen before the title screen.
• 2:16 to 2:27. We can see a small gameplay of the level "Cannonade".
  • We can also see an enemy similar to a bee.
