Revision as of 06:54, 18 May 2021 by DamonStrydeWWE (talk | contribs) (→General Differences: replaced "slightly different" in the first note w/ "slightly edited")
This page details one or more prototype versions of WWF Attitude (PlayStation).
| This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.
A prototype of WWF Attitude for the PlayStation released as part of Hidden Palace's 'Project Deluge'. It is dated April 28th, 1999 which is almost three months before the final US version's build date.
General Differences
- The opening FMV has minor differences compared to final, including missing crowd sound effects and a slightly edited ending.
- The second company logo screen is for both Iguana Entertainment and Acclaim. In the final, it's just Acclaim Sports.
- The screen of dedication to Owen Hart has not been added yet (due to his death not occurring yet).
- Entrances do not function.
- At the end of a match, the screen cuts to black and then shows the match statistics screen. In the final, it would show the winner on the arena's titantron before cutting to black and showing the match statistic screen.
- Title screen says "Version" in green below Press Start.
- No music or sound during the title screen or menus.
Roster Differences
Many strange characters named after types of moves are in the "Featured" section of characters.
Create-A-Player
The Blue Blazer
As this build is from about a month before Owen Hart's tragic death, it still features Create-A-Wrestler parts of his Blue Blazer gimmick. These were most likely removed out of respect as this gimmick was heavily tied to his untimely death.
