...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

Many maps went through some degree of change between 0.06 and 0.10's release. Some locations did not exist yet, which also means that the events specific to those maps have not been implemented. The dream world is overall more interconnected, with a lot of locations having gates that gradually lead into other locations that you would have had to return to the Nexus to access.

A pink gate that later went unused in 0.10 is used in a great number of maps in 0.06, along with a grey gate that is used in 0.10. It is important to note this because very few unique gate / map teleporting graphics exist at this point, so in most cases, they will be the only kind of gate that you see.

Map differences & screenshots to be added:
  • Forest World: Has a grey gate leading to Hell.
  • Puddle World: Has two gates instead of one. The unused Torii from 0.10 is absent from the tileset.
  • Dark World: Triangle Kerchief effect found here. Two gates instead of one. Lacks the tile art on the ground found in 0.10. Pissipissini NPCs are not present.
  • Snow World, Candle World: Needs investigation
  • Mural World: Poop Hair effect found here.
  • Eyeball World: Gate leads to Mini-Hell.
  • Neon World: Completely different layout.
  • Lamp World: Completely different layout. Different music.
  • Windmill World lacks a parallax background.
  • Hell only uses Pink Gates for map teleportation. The mirror is present and gives the Fat Effect.
  • Barracks Settlement has the Buyo Buyo Effect, along with its NPC using graphics in the game's normal art style. (These graphics went unused in 0.10).

  • Investigate the remaining dreamworld maps not listed.
  • Find a way to get direct map rips to replace the map screenshots from RPG Maker, similar to what's on the Yume Nikki Wiki.

  • The image displayed on the TV in the dream world is different. This image also exists in 0.10 on the same sprite sheet.

Block World

Hmmm...
To do:
Video & Map of the removed event.
  • The Mafurako NPC is not present. She is found on the Checkered Tile Path instead.
  • The Severed Head effect can be found on the lower end of the map.
  • There is a grey gate on the higher plane that leads to an event that was removed. Mafurako will teleport you to it from the aforementioned Checkered Tile Path. The color of this gate was altered to black & white, along with the destination to White Desert A in 0.10.
  • A pink gate can be found on the ground plane that takes you to the Neon Tile Path.
  • Version 0.06 has less block structures than 0.10.
The Severed Head effect's presence on this map is bizarre, considering how the map that contains it in 0.10 is accessible in 0.06.

Graffiti World

  • The tile layout on the right side is much simpler.
  • Two gates instead of just one: The pink gate goes to the Mall, like the elevator in 0.10. The grey gate leads to the Neon Tile Path.

FC World

The overworld's layout is similarly shaped in some parts, yet still quite different from 0.10. Like version 0.10, much of it is unused. Only the island on the leftmost side is accessible.
