This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Many maps went through some degree of change between 0.06 and 0.10's release. Some locations did not exist yet, which also means that the events specific to those maps have not been implemented. The dream world is overall more interconnected, with a lot of worlds having gates that gradually lead into other locations that you would have had to return to the Nexus to access.
A pink gate that later went unused in 0.10 is used in a great number of maps in 0.06, along with a grey gate that is used in 0.10. It is important to note this because very few unique gate / map teleporting graphics exist at this point, so in most cases, they will be the only kind of gate that you see.
To do: Map differences & screenshots to be added:
Windmill World lacks a parallax background.
Barracks Settlement has the Buyo Buyo effect, along with its NPC using graphics in the game's normal art style. (These graphics went unused in 0.10).
Investigate the remaining dreamworld maps not listed.

Comparison of Map Names
To do: Add remaining maps in Small Map set, and FC World.
A great number of maps had their names changed at some point in development. Some changes are minor with different symbols, while others are completely different. The following tables compare all 111 maps present in 0.06 to their counterparts in 0.10, if they exist.

Block World
The Mafurako NPC is not present. She is found on the Checkered Tile Path instead.
The Severed Head effect can be found on the lower end of the map.
There is a grey gate on the higher plane that leads to an event that was removed. Mafurako will teleport you to it from the aforementioned Checkered Tile Path. The color of this gate was altered to black & white, along with the destination to White Desert A in 0.10.
A pink gate can be found on the ground plane that takes you to the Neon Tile Path.
Version 0.06 has less block structures than 0.10.
The Severed Head effect's presence on this map is bizarre, considering how the map that contains it in 0.10 is accessible in 0.06.
0.06
0.10
The removed event has Madotsuki walk to the right to enter a bed. This triggers switch 138 to have an unavoidable Toriningen chase after you. Getting caught by it places you in the black void of Footprint Path 2, where the Goppa creatures reside. The music used on this map is Block World's at a 50% tempo.
Puddle World
Two gates instead of one: The pink gate leads to Footprint Path 2, and the grey gate leads to Dense Woods A like in 0.10.
Two Nenrikido NPCs are on the map in 0.06, but they only play their sound effect, and do not teleport Madotsuki to another map.
The unused torii gate found in the tileset of 0.10 is not present.
The map is larger in 0.10.
0.06
0.10
Dark World
There is no tile art on the ground in 0.06.
Two gates instead of one: The grey gate leads to Face Carpet Plaza, while the pink gate leads to The Wilderness like in 0.10.
The Triangle Kerchief effect is found here in 0.06. In 0.10, the Fleebie NPC that gives the effect is found in Ghost World, a map that did not exist in 0.06.
The Pissipissini NPCs are not present in 0.06.

0.10
Snow World
0.06 has two gates, while 0.10 has none. The pink gate leads to Footprint Path 2, and the grey gate takes you to Face Carpet Plaza.
A seventh igloo was added in 0.10 that leads to the Pink Sea that is not present in 0.06.
In the map named Igloo3, a lunatic Toriningen was added in 0.10.

The Poop Hair effect is found in this map in 0.06. In 0.10, it was moved to the storage area of The Underground World, which did not exist yet in 0.06.
0.06 has less murals around the map.
0.06
0.10
Graffiti World
The tile layout on the right side is much simpler.
Two gates instead of just one: The pink gate goes to the Mall, like the elevator in 0.10. The grey gate leads to the Neon Tile Path.
0.06
0.10
Eyeball World
In 0.06, the grey gate leads to Mini Hell. 0.10 changed this gate into the Severed Blue Head NPC, which takes you to Footprint Path 1, where the Henkei Shita reside.
0.10 added more body parts strewn about the map, including the jumping legs not present in 0.06.
0.06
0.10
Candle World
Two gates instead of one: The pink gate takes you to The Docks, and the grey gate leads to Hell. 0.10 changed the grey gate to a striped pyramid that takes you to Checkered Tile Path.
0.10 replaced the pink gate with the Walking Candle NPCs.
A couple pairs of candles near the center of the map were mirrored horizontally.
0.06
0.10
Shield-Folk World
Two gates instead of one: The pink gate takes you to the Static Maze like in 0.10, and the grey gate takes you to Checkered Tile Path.
0.06

Neon World
The layout is completely different.
Two gates instead of one: The pink gate leads to Footprint Path 1, and the grey gate brings you to the Guillotine Room.
0.06
0.10
Lamp World
To do: Upload music
Number World did not exist yet, so Lamp World is accessed from the Nexus.
The layout is completely different, though like in 0.10, the Lamp effect is still found here.
Stabbing the Toriningen inside the bed room and getting caught by it will send you to the Guillotine Room.
The candle near the bloodstain can be stabbed to put out the flame, but does not have any other properties.
The pink gate leads to the Footprint Path.
The grey gate leads to the Checkered Tile Path.
The short lamp takes you to the small area in the Checkered Tile Path where Closet Madotsuki is, like in 0.10.
The music used is different, and is likely an early version of the Toriningen Beat.
0.06
0.10
Guillotine Room
Only the smaller variant exists in 0.06. An additional larger version of the room was added in 0.10.
The Guillotine NPC for the Severed Head effect is not here, and is in Block World for some reason.
0.06
0.10
Mini Hell
Known in 0.06 as 小マップ7.
Two gates are present: The left-hand gate leads to Hell, while the right-hand gate takes you to Eyeball World.
The cupboards in 0.10 simply return you back to the bed room in Number World.
0.06
0.10
Hell
To do: Compare the destinations of the gates, and get a screenshot of the mirror.
Known in 0.06 as 小マップ8.
All of the map teleportation methods use a grey gate, making navigation more confusing. This was thankfully changed to only one grey gate by the time of 0.10's release.
The Henkei Shita is grey and stabbing it does not have any chance of teleporting Madotsuki to the Footprint Path.
A mirror can be found on the upper portion of the map that gives the Fat effect. This effect is found in The Docks from the Strober NPC in 0.10.
0.06
0.10
FC World
The overworld's layout is similarly shaped in some parts, yet still quite different from 0.10. Like version 0.10, much of it is unused. Only the island on the leftmost side is accessible.
0.06
0.10
FC House
The music used in the Goblin Room is slightly longer, and has different instrumentation.
