Hmmm...
To do:
  • A Japanese YouTube user was also talking about secret text with the character Tink. Is this a used easter egg or an unused one?
  • Document Cosmo Neo changes in a prototype page.
  • There are some leftover sounds from Sanrio Timenet: Kako Hen and Mirai Hen - some are used, others might not.

Space-Net: Cosmo Red and Cosmo Blue is a pair of monster-battling games and the spiritual successor to Sanrio Timenet: Kako Hen and Mirai Hen. In this game, the player "recruits" monsters to join the ISNA (International Space-Net Agency) rather than "catching" them. The game also doesn't include Sanrio characters.

According to the Nintendo Space World site, the games had working titles of "Space-Net SN-01" and "Space-Net SN-02". The September 2020 lot check leak revealed that a third version, Space-Net: Cosmo Neo, was produced but never released.

Miscellaneous tidbits that are interesting enough to point out here.
Notes

Unused Message Box Pictures

Text command EC XX will print a character message box. For a list of index numbers, see the notes.

Using codes 0100C3C7, 01D0C4C7, 01EC00D0 and 01xx01D0 one can force a box with the picture to appear.

All 256 IDs are indexed. Many IDs are curiously copies of Mūra with a different attribute. These are common so it's of limited use listing them.

Other specific unused IDs are listed below:

  • 20: The picture is corrupted, but this is in the middle of the data. Perhaps the picture pointed somewhere valid before.
  • 39: Like 20, this is not the last valid index number, but the sprite is invalid.
  • 3F: Another corrupted picture as before.
  • FC: Solid black box

(Since this game and knowledge of all its characters is obscure, some other unused IDs may exist)

Shooting Game

A shooting game that seems to be unused. Use codes 0146C3C7 and 017AC4C7 to load it via a conversation box, but the "points" and "time" sub-tiles will be glitched. The aim is to shoot number panels which appear on the screen with A.

A video of it in action can be found here.

Unused Text

メッセージいれとくれ

"Message to Replace"(?): This seems to be placeholder text (used in error messages?) for the spaceship's mascot AI. It's usually followed by a character such as "9", "A", or "B". To see one of the texts, enter the overworld, enable code 01DF00D8, then open the ship menu with Start.
