Street Fighter: The Movie is an arcade game based on the live-action movie of the same name. Capcom later remade it for home consoles (which makes it the port of the game of the movie of the game), but that version plays very differently and is a lot closer to Super Street Fighter II Turbo.
Test Room
Press Down + Start + Weak Punch + Weak Kick at the same time in the character selection screen. If you input the code correctly, you'll hear a short chant. This works in one-player or Versus mode.
The stage (which does not display a name in the Versus screen) is a bare level with a floor against a black background, with several values shown on the screen.
- Center number - Unknown. Value changes rapidly when playing against the CPU, but not when playing against another player.
- First number - Unknown.
- Second number - Shows the frame ID number of the animation being played.
- Third number - Changes to 1 when holding back or forward, and when dropping down from a vertical or backwards jump.
- Fourth number - Unknown.
The number of times this room is accessed is kept track of under the audits menu as SECRET 4.
Unused Ending
While recorded at the same time as the other characters, Blanka's digitized sprites were not used in the game and only appeared on home versions of the game released for PlayStation and Sega Saturn. However, if you beat arcade mode with the normally-unplayable "Super Bison" by hacking the character select value to 0x11, Blanka's ending sequence will play instead of Bison's.
Red Herrings
Much like early Mortal Kombat games, the developers of Street Fighter: The Movie sneaked in some red herrings, possibly to try to gather rumors:
- Blanka Found and Blanka Fight: Blanka is not in the arcade game, but his endings are there (see up)
- Snake Found: Unknown. There is no character named Snake in the game.
- FeiLong Found: Fei Long was almost in the game (according to interview, his sprites could not be cleaned up in time for game's release, so he was out), but a remixed version of his stage theme is in the game.
- Fatality1: Unlike other digitized fighters, there is no fatalities in the game because that is un-Street Fighter. KOing the opponent with a Super Combo (the closest the game had to fatalities) does not appear add anything to it.
