USA: No Japanese for you
US cartridges halt at an error notice on Japan or Europe machines, disabling official access to its Japanese mode Bare Knuckle 2. A correctly-timed region change after the Sega logo fades will bypass this lockout.
Changes include alternate title screen, story language, and character names. Some of the graphics, such as Blaze's overhead kick and Mr. X's cigar, were also edited in the American cartridge version.
