Streets of Rage 2 is the sequel to the pretty popular Streets of Rage.

Regional Lockout

US cartridges halt at an error notice on Japanese and European machines, disabling official access to its Japanese mode Bare Knuckle 2, but a correctly-timed region change after the Sega logo fades will bypass the lockout.

Changes include an alternate title screen, story language, and character names. Some graphics, such as Blaze's overhead kick and Mr. X's cigar, were also edited in the American cartridge version.
