So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Title Screen

Super Mario Advance

Publisher: Nintendo
Platform: Game Boy Advance

PrereleaseIcon.png This game has a prerelease article

Super Mario Advance is Super Mario Bros. 2 except IN SPACE!!! on the GAME BOY ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!

It has some funky music like the key jingle from The Legend of Zelda and other stuff and possibly things I don't know.

Yeah!

Super Mario All-Stars Leftovers

These graphics are unused in Super Mario All-Stars, and they're not used here either.

Placeholder Text

Before After
Hmm? Oh, okay

The black text box is プレイヤー, translated as "Player", marking where the Player graphics are stored in VRAM. The three orange tiles are パワ床 (POW Block), スイショウ (Crystal), and フラスコ (Flask).

All other placeholder text from Super Mario All-Stars has been removed.

Tiny Slots Icons

Considering this game's scaling fetish these could still be used

These tiny slot icons were discarded in favor of the larger slot icons.

Tomato

So the stereotypical Italian can't even get his hands on a tomato?

This tomato, based off of the one found in Wart's room in the NES version, still isn't used. Why? Who knows.

Unused Enemies

Squeak I tell you, squeak! Monoclyde Big fat crab

These object graphics are loaded during world boss fights. They match up with three of the bosses: Mouser, Trycylde, and Clawgrip. The new snake's palette even matches up with Tryclyde. Either these were meant to be henchmen in the boss arenas, or the bosses were meant to split apart into them (like Fryguy.)

The Sidestepper enemy graphics are stored in a different location that the ones used in Mario Bros.

Unused Tracks

Three of the game's audio tracks are unused.

NES Boss Fight

A rendition of the original version of Super Mario Bros. 2's boss theme.

NES Star

File:SMAUnusedTrack2.ogg A track based off of the NES game's Star theme.

Zelda: Got Item

It's the Legend of Zelda jingle for picking up an item! Possibly used as a test track?

Unfinished song

This is in the Mario Bros. Sound bank and is unfinished.
