Unused Skills

We should document unused skills at some point. iRO Wiki has a nice list here: http://irowiki.org/wiki/Category:Unimplemented_Skills

In addition, discussing with a friend about the article: -Redacted-: And while speaking of those unimplemented skills. -Redacted-: One might mention that Homunculus was something completely different that Alchemist was supposed to have since release but they withdrew it. -Redacted-: Hence the alot of uniused skills when they later brought it back completely different.--Flygon (talk) 07:17, 15 March 2016 (EDT)

Just a note regarding the page's Charisma Guild Skill entry. It was actually once used, as part of earlier guild skill trees, before an update somepoint rendered it unneeded. Regardless, on official servers, a LOT of older guilds will actually have the skill in active use. Not sure how this actually affects the context of it not being usable anymore, however. --Flygon (talk) 23:25, 25 March 2016 (EDT)
Ah! Also, in addition, the Bard/Dancer 'Ragnarok' skill was actually enabled during testing of the classes. ie. it was actually used by the public at some point. They (being Gravity/kRO) removed the skill from public availability when they realized how utterly horrendously broken it was! --Flygon (talk) 23:27, 25 March 2016 (EDT)
That's pretty nice information. I think I remember Charisma being one of the active guild skills on one of the guilds I used to be in on iRO Sakray, now that you mention it. I could be wrong and remember another skillname. Gravity(as with many game developers) tends to take out a thing and leave the rest of it in the code, so it's possible that the full effect of the skill is still implemented even though the thing itself was removed. --Kienna (talk) 19:05, 26 March 2016 (EDT)

Unused Classes

I know they're mentioned on the main page, but linking proper resources for them.

Alpha/Beta Clients

Not sure how to really mention this in the mainpage, anyway, this is [the client used during iRO's Alpha period]. While this is nice to have, it's missing a lot of stuff kRO Alpha eventually got updated with. In addition, I have absolutely zero idea where to find the Korean Alphas. Ditto anything Japanese related. And English Beta clients + GRFs have gone missing, too.

In addition, any early AEGIS versions would shed a LOT of light with the clusterfuck that was Ragnarok Online's first 2-3 years of development. I understand modern AEGIS versions do have a lot of holdover (and unused features from said era) too, however.

--Flygon (talk) 22:09, 16 March 2016 (EDT)

Yes. I'd LOVE to find any earlier kRO clients that might have more than what the modern Aegis/rathena have atm (as let's be real, they probably removed some of the earlier content as most game usually do).

I will gladly try to help find an earlier grf version. If I do, I will post them so everyone can take a look and perhaps document itǃ --Kienna (talk) 19:38, 17 March 2016 (EDT)

Hm, perhaps these earlier versions have more interesting content. I may try looking in the Brazilian client some time. -Phrossi (talk) 19:43, 17 March 2016 (EDT)
As a note, after some quick fuzzing around in the Alpha GRF, there is some interesting extra angle death sprites for the characters. As in, covering all 8 directions, instead of just the 4 diagonal ones. In addition, the BGM .mp3s actually sound a bit different. Especially on Morroc. --Flygon (talk) 21:49, 19 March 2016 (EDT)
Niceǃ Any way to convert them to OGG and make comparisons? And rip the sprites?ː3 by the way, when it comes to sprites I saw a particular odd Kafra that stands still, but she has full 8 directionals as opposed to just 4. Is that used anywhere? It's the Kafra with the rather long ponytail 'cause if not I'm going to upload it. I just want to be sure. --Kienna (talk) 07:29, 20 March 2016 (EDT)

Alignment System

Just a note that it was most likely removed due to people abusing the absolute hell out of it. It was fairly common to bombard someone with negative reputation points just because he upset some portion of the community in some way. ie. an otherwise good person otherwise got incredibly bad reputation points.

Considering this sort of game encourages effective playerbase corruption, you can see how this would go totally wrong.

I don't actually have any sources on me at this moment, however, so I won't add this into the page.

That's fine. Any speculations, theories and the like is welcomeǃ I do see your point though. Someone probably did make guilds go Wicked route just because they -could-, thus ruining the reputation of someone who is trying to build up Fame. Still, I would've liked to see how the actual thing played out. --Kienna (talk) 19:05, 26 March 2016 (EDT)

Isis Clothing, and other monsters with tits covered

No relation to 2016's hottest terrorist group. It seems multiple monsters have had their tits covered up in certain sprite sheets. Source states the GRF she found them from a 2006-2008 era GRF. If these can be verified as actually existing inside official GRFs at some point, we should probably document this on the main page. A lot of South-East Asian countries have Governments sensitive to nudity, so, I suspect these sheets may've been used by official servers of the region. Research and verification would be awesome.

--Flygon (talk) 00:56, 6 April 2016 (EDT)

As an additional note. Both Fabre and Skeggs have undocumented unused sprite. Strange in the case of the latter, due to the unused sprites being Deveruchi. Which are a completely separate monster.

Noting the Fabre sprites, it lends some credibility to the 'splitting Pupa' sprites being used for the Creamy transformation phase.
