Template talk:Source TCRF User
Xkeeper: i dont think that template is very useful compared to e.g. just {{source|user}
Xkeeper: because it also doesnt let you do e.g. joe (discovery), bob (research/codes) --

- Yeah, that's what we're trying to figure out how to do. I can't figure out how to set it so we can source multiple users with different positions/credits. Anyways, the benefit of making a separate template for users being sourced is so we don't have to type
Robotortoise every time we want to source an user. That's wayy too much typing to memorize. Robotortoise (talk) 17:43, 22 September 2015 (EDT)
- How in the world is Username harder to remember than a separate, but functionally similar (and longer to type) template?
- You're making things unnecessarily complex and cluttered and I really really really wish you'd consult with us before doing things like this. --BMF54123 (talk) 01:27, 23 September 2015 (EDT)
- I apologize. I assumed (incorrectly) that when Xkeeper said he recommended users source themselves, that making a template page would be more or less the same thing, but more "official". It just kind of...escalated....from there. I should have asked before creating the template. I will next time. Anyways, the reason I hestated asking admins is that the two top admins (i.e. you and Xkeeper) never respond in IRC, even when summoned or PM'ed. (Or both!) Is there a preferred way I can contact you and Xkeeper in the future? Would talk pages be good, or...? Robotortoise (talk) 02:32, 23 September 2015 (EDT)
