This is more or less a wiki designed to mix Cutting Room Floor elements (old debug modes, unused and prototype data, and other tidbits) with... other stuff. If it got cut, we want it!

19,344 articles and counting!

Getting started

If you want to help, let me know! Send me a message either on AIM, MSN, e-mail, whatever. Just let me know and I'll get you hooked up. Accounts by request only.

You can discuss this over on Jul for now. Just make a new thread somewhere, since I haven't gotten to that point yet.

Current starting points:

Cah4e3's page has a lot of information too, but only on accessing and not actual use or features. Bringing some of that data and elaborating on its use might be a good idea.

Current projects

Content:

  1. Copy over The Cutting Room Floor pages, improving and expanding upon the contents
  2. Get the basic information onto new pages
  3. Expand and add information to short pages
  4. Add new discoveries as we find/remember them

In general:

  1. We really need to get some guidelines and style pages written up for new editors and just for reference.
  2. Adding descriptive pages for the tools and features, for example, debug modes and levels, as well as unused graphics, text, music, data, levels, and prototypes.
  3. Useful templates that make editing easier, for example generic message boxes
  4. New namespaces, such as Notes:, Codes:, Lua: (personal use), and Data: (for RAM/ROM maps or other in-progress hacking details)

When in doubt, remember this excellent tip from Link's Awakening:
