Regional differences
The Japanese version features an additional game mode called Tetra's Trackers. This mode has been removed entirely from all other versions of the game, possibly due to it having a lot of spoken dialogue that would have needed to be translated. It also pronounced player's names out loud, possible due to the simpler Japanese pronunciation, in English this would be nigh on impossible to do accurately.
