Sega Screen
- Unlike the Simon Wai build, the Sega screen isn't skipped.
- The Sega screen has been finalized. In earlier builds, it used Sonic 1's.
Title Screen & Demos
- The "Sonic and "Tails" / Miles In" screen is missing.

- The title screen is similar to that of the earlier builds, but now with the "1 PLAYER/2P PLAYER VS" options at the bottom. This title is known for being in non-Japanese instruction manuals.
- The demos are still using their Nick Arcade inputs and demo order.

- The level select is still using Sonic 1's setup.
- Wood Zone and Genocide City Zone have been removed from the list.
- The levels are still referred to by their early names, though the title cards use their final names.
- Hidden Palace is disabled in the level select. Attempting to access it will result in loading the garbled mess like the final. Its music does play, though.
