1.5 The Redstone Update, an update that added a number of new redstone-related blocks, a new decorative block, a scoreboard system, a new texture pack format, and lighting engine optimization, among other things. Released on March 13, 2013.

1.6 The Horse Update, an update where Mojang implores for the help of Mo' Creatures devs. This update added many new features including horses, leads, coal blocks, carpets, new commands, resource packs, and a new launcher, among other things. Released on July 1, 2013.

1.7 The Update that Changed the World, an update that added many new biomes, new generated structures, new flowers, and better colors, among other things. Released on October 25, 2013.

1.8 The Bountiful Update, an update that added many blocks and mobs, among other things. Released on September 2, 2014.
