Mickey's Speedway Text
Well, unfortunately I haven't dumped all the text. --JetForceGemini64 00:05, 1 April 2012 (EDT)
HPSS Dialogue
Some of the sounds in Sorcerer's Stone on PC are used in the Playstation game. Haven't gotten very far to tell you what ones are used in the PlayStation one, but I do know that in the PSX game Harry reads the wizard cards and some dialogue in the language menu of the PC version are used (Snape's late comments, mislabeled as FlitwickLateXX or whatever the numbers are, and "Malfoy stole my Remembrall!" being two examples.) in that version. They most likely had been planning to release the game as a port of the Playstation game at one point, but decided against it. But I don't know when the PS1 game was released, so I can't confirm that. --JeffMandM 12:06, 21 March 2014 (CDT)
- The two versions were released simultaneously. It might be worth noting on the page if you can get some solid confirmation on specific lines. Quite a lot was cut from the PC version, so it doesn't surprise me that PS1 features some of the unused stuff. M64m (talk) 21:31, 21 March 2014 (EDT)
- Yeah, I can do that. I'll do that now. JeffMandM 20:37, 21 March 2014 (CDT)
HPSS Graphics
Those images from the (2001) E3 demo are looks clear... and I haven't found any of them in the ONLY avaible video I found of this demo (here)... would it be too much to upload it, if possible? --Hcktrox (talk) 19:33, 8 May 2014 (EDT)
- Not entirely sure what you're asking for here. The 2001 demo files I added to the page are simply leftovers I found in the final retail release of the game. Not everything from that video was left over. M64m (talk) 19:46, 8 May 2014 (EDT)
- Well, the old blue title screen, level select and such... at least, how could I get to them? :O! --Hcktrox (talk) 19:50, 8 May 2014 (EDT)
- As far as I know, there's no way to load them in-game. They're from an archive named HPMenu.utx, which also contains some more stuff I need to add to the page. M64m (talk) 19:59, 8 May 2014 (EDT)
- Wow! Any way I could see it too? or the other 3D models? I tried for long to get to see certain files... but HP Magic Walls seems pretty limited and glitchy (on mine PC, I don't know how stable could it work in others). There's also almost no documentation about it either :(--Hcktrox (talk) 20:07, 8 May 2014 (EDT)
- You can open up any of the .utx archives with the Unreal Tournament Package Tool. Be warned though, it's a bit buggy and has been discontinued. Specifically, I ran into issues extracting HP1's elemental fractals and HP2's dialogue archive. As for the 3D models, you should be able to find those in a "Model Meshes" archive. They're .3ds format, and will open in Blender. All of the models should have UV maps associated with their proper textures. M64m (talk) 20:15, 8 May 2014 (EDT)

Avifors FireTexture
M64m you wanted to know how I got the Avifors image from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's for PC. I used a Harry Potter level editor, clicked on Actor Classes, Clicked Triggers, Clicked Trigger, Clicked KTrigger Selected spelltrigger, and placed on a map I created. Then I right clicked spelltrigger, Clicked properties, Clicked Spelleffects and made BAvif Target say true, Clicked on Spells and selected Avifors. I loaded the game and aimed where I placed SpellTrigger and The shape showed up. I then clicked the insert key to take a picture ot you can press PRTSCR on your keyboard. Then I loaded the picture in paint and erased everything except the Avifors symbol. Then I converted the BMP file to PNG and uploaded it. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Flintifors (talk) • (contribs)
- If that's the case, then I would like you to take a screenshot of the effect in-game and upload the entire screenshot. Make sure you're using 800x600 resolution. A large portion of the spell effects are rendered in the game engine in real-time, and cannot be ripped directly. - M64m (talk) 00:15, 5 September 2014 (EDT)
Kick Ass
Excuse me, but why? TempleofDreams (talk) 19:44, 10 May 2014 (EDT)
- It's been stated multiple times, that's the actual title screen of the game. M64m (talk) 19:44, 10 May 2014 (EDT)
- I'm really sorry, it did not look like it. It's just that I don't like when someone add a title screen to a game that doesn't have one. TempleofDreams (talk) 19:51, 10 May 2014 (EDT)
Blacked Out Image
On the Ristar Differences page, Why did you have black around the image of Oruto? --Cdudeiscool (talk) 15:07, 16 July 2014 (EDT)
- In the IRC room, BMF54123 requested that the sprite be on a black background. This is done to make the lighter pixel details more easily seen (such as Oruto's hand). There are also elements of the sprite that rely on a black background to blend, like the top edges of the head. M64m (talk) 16:39, 16 July 2014 (EDT)

bcmdl files
Hi. I noticed you posted a pic displaying a render of a model in bcmdl format. Do you know how it was made? I would like to know how to view/convert bcmdl models ripped from 3DS games. Thank you! - Redz (talk) 20:14, 31 December 2014 (EST)
- The best method right now for viewing BCMDL files is a tool called Every File Explorer. It's not perfect, but it's being actively developed. It can export as .dae and .obj as well, but I haven't used that feature so I don't know how well it works. --M64m (talk) 00:43, 1 January 2015 (EST)
- I may need your guidance again. Do you know how to open or convert .cat files? - Redz (talk) 15:20, 13 January 2015 (EST)
- What game are they from? --M64m (talk) 15:23, 13 January 2015 (EST)
- You mean it depends on the console/system, or that it depends on the game? - Redz (talk) 04:19, 14 January 2015 (EST)
- Which game specifically. The .cat extension sounds pretty generic. --M64m (talk) 13:08, 14 January 2015 (EST)
- I see, sorry about that. I believe I've seen the extension used by multiple games, but the one that comes to mind right now would be Sonipro. - Redz (talk) 14:54, 16 January 2015 (EST)

How did you find out Super Mario Sunshine's native resolution? Is there a way to find that out with dolphin? ReyVGM (talk) 14:13, 14 April 2015 (EDT)
- A few settings need to be adjusted because Dolphin is dumb. I'll be updating the GC/Wii screenshot guidelines soon. --M64m (talk) 14:14, 14 April 2015 (EDT)

Thanks for fixing all those PS3 image tags. I realized half-way through I had the wrong thing. >_< --

I would like to ask..
why my images should be replaced? --MariowiiX (talk) 00:47, 10 November 2015 (EST)
- They are JPG screenshots taken from Miiverse, and they are the wrong resolution. Final comparison screenshots should be captured in native resolution and in PNG format. -Ehm (talk) 00:52, 10 November 2015 (EST)
Sonic Generations (3DS)
First off, sorry about removing all those 3D images...but they're used in the Art gallery, yeah :(
However, what program did you use to view the complete fonts and rip the SkySphere model? I'm using EveryFileExplorer but it can't open quite a few files (including anything in archives) and its font view is limited. WhoIAm (talk) 04:20, 27 November 2015 (EST)
- Thanks for removing those images! I used EFE for the fonts. You can change the preview text it displays, so I typed every character in the standard North American keyboard. There may be some special characters missing, especially since the backslash is replaced with a Yen symbol in DebugFont. I used Ohana3DS for the sphere model, as I find it to be more accurate and much more user friendly than EFE for displaying models. -Ehm (talk) 14:56, 27 November 2015 (EST)

Should I say sorry over this edit I made back in May? Me1tsout (talk) 23:26, 10 January 2016 (EST)
Sorry
About the edit I made to the Spyro 2 page. I thought since the demo was on the "To Do" list at the top of the page, that putting info about it on the page would be helping. Are there separate pages for demos? I'm new at this so I'm sorry, and thanks. --CinnamintyCupcake (talk) 20:15, 30 January 2016 (EST)
- If the demo is an earlier version of the main game then it goes on a Proto: page, eg. Proto:Spyro 2. -Einstein95 (talk) 20:17, 30 January 2016 (EST)
- Oh okay, thanks Einstein! :) --CinnamintyCupcake (talk) 20:21, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Viewing the BAM format models
Hello, I was wondering what program you used to view BAM format models. I've noticed that you were able to view the ones from Persona Q, and that the BAM format is also used in the other games based off of Etrian Odyssey IV's engine. --Dasutein (talk) 13:26, 27 March 2016 (CST)
- BAM files contain CGFX models inside. Extract those, and then you can load them into Ohana3DS Rebirth, which is probably the best CGFX/BCH model viewer I've seen. I believe Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold contains BAM2, and those have BCH inside rather than CGFX. -Ehm (talk) 16:02, 27 March 2016 (EDT)
Hey Ehm
About my Mario Party 3 Screenshot, apologies. Thanks for helping with the tag. I know I saved it as a .png, so I don't why it uploaded as a .jpeg, unless I selected the wrong one. ^^' Naru2008 (talk)
- No worries! You should check out the N64 screenshot guidelines, though I'm not too sure how you would get native res using Nemu. Haven't used that emulator a lot, but I'll see if there's anything about native res with Nemu later tonight. --Ehm (talk) 15:36, 12 May 2016 (EDT)
- Yeah, I was wondering that myself. I don't quite think there is, but let's let each other know if we can find it or not. I figured after finding out more about the test room in Mario Party, I would play with Nemu's free camera option to see what I could find, so that explains why I am using Nemu (I usually use Project64, my favorite) when I stumbled upon the fact that Nemu (for whatever reason) disabled Waluigi and Daisy. Hopefully one of us can figure it out, haha. Would it be okay for me to re-upload the .jpg format and just keep the tag for native resolution until then, or would that mess things up? Project DIVA F
Quick question. How did u manage to extract the graphics from DIVA F? I can't seem to figure that out at all --Stewie1.0
- Extract .farc files using this QuickBMS script. Some of the extracted files will be proper TXP image archives (most are labelled with "tex" in the file name, I believe). Others you will need to manually extract, however. Then take any TXP files you have and run them through this QuickBMS script, which will extract and convert images to DDS format. It's not perfect though - quite a few DDS files will come out invalid or with the wrong palette. --Ehm (talk) 12:57, 15 May 2016 (EDT)
- Alright, thanks (sorry for late reply). --Stewie1.0
I have an issue with the .txp. I got a .dds extracted from it fine, but it wont open in any program I put it in like Paint.NET. Is it a specific type of dds file? --Stewie1.0
- Upload the TXP file to another site and link it here, I'll have a look. -Ehm (talk) 12:49, 3 July 2016 (EDT)
- TXP --Stewie1.0
- PNG, kinda. I used a DDS specific conversion program, but you should be able to get the exact same output using Noesis. Noesis also has batch processing, which is incredibly handy. These sorts of images with a heavy blue/green/magenta palette are the ones I mentioned above that have the "wrong" palette. I feel like they're images meant to be versatile to some degree, but I dunno enough about the image format to say for certain. -Ehm (talk) 13:13, 3 July 2016 (EDT)
- Ah I have Noesis. I'll take a look. Also, I think that image is unused. Cuz 39 is a AR Song for DLC, and I don't really remember seeing that. Unless I just don't remember it. I'll have to check again next time I play it on PS3, since its the only one I have it on. The song, at least --Stewie1.0
- Ok, cool! If you end up uploading this image or others like it, I suggest adding a note in the image description that the conversion may not be accurate. -Ehm (talk) 13:24, 3 July 2016 (EDT)
- Actually, I just found a song select image of World is Mine, but with Miku's Dreamy Theater design. But the image is shaded green, like every other one. --Stewie1.0

DKC3 island name
スーパードンキーコング3~謎のクレミス島~ is the official title when spelled out in characters, but there's no "official" romanization of that because there is no furigana on any of the sources I've seen. Super Donkey Kong 3: Nazo no Kremis Shima/Tou are just fan romanizations of the official スーパードンキーコング3~謎のクレミス島~, but tou is used in island names such as Kremis, so Super Donkey Kong 3: Nazo no Kremis Shima can't be the "official" title, when it's just a fan romanization of it. Though there's also the other translation "Mystery of the Island Kremis", so all in all, it's ambiguous rather it's shima or tou when put into English, but Google picks up on shima because it can't detect whether it's an island name, which because 島 the kanji for island is placed after クレミス, Kremis, indicates it's an island name, in which case tou would be used instead. Similar to how Geno's real name is commonly misinterpreted as ♥♪!?, but it's actually ♡♪!?, with the heart white inside. In Japanese, when the kanji for island (島) is put after the name of the island, it's pronounced "tou", it being romanized from スーパードンキーコング3~謎のクレミス島~ is the only part that's official about the title.
Also, see the second result on jisho. When it's being used to refer to an island name (which you'll know if it comes after the main name of the island, in this case Kremis, it's とう (tō), not しま (shima). I was saying the romanization was wrong, not that the title isn't official. The romanization with shima is simply a common misinterpretation of the Japanese title. Even Wikipedia had that there, but again it's English and nobody there is expected to know Japanese to know the basic fact that kanji such as 島 can have multiple readings. Therefore, I was correct, because the romanization is supposed to be "Super Donkey Kong 3: Nazo no Kremis-tou", not "Super Donkey Kong 3: Nazo no Kremis Shima". The title was never officially romanized by the people who translated this in Japanese (and all Japanese people know romanization system), so the "shima" romanization is just outright false assumption from those who use machine romanization rather than knowing the Japanese language and romanizing it themselves. - PokémonGamer (talk) 12:21, 23 May 2016 (EDT)
- In fairness, not even the commercials themselves pronounced "謎のクレミス島" at all. However, I did eventually find the correct romanization on exactly one page. I also couldn't find the appropriate romanization on Nintendo's site. Don't get passive aggressive about this though.--From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 16:24, 23 May 2016 (EDT)

Mirai DX Graphics
Wow. I was actually just about to upload those graphics you found. I found them months ago, but never got to upload them. --Stewie1.0
- Ah, neat! Do you know if any of the video files are unused? There are opening videos for Mirai 1/2/FS, but they seem like something that could be viewed in a gallery. -Ehm (talk) 18:56, 29 May 2016 (EDT)
- No, but technically in the US/EU version, there's 2 openings for Mirai 1 and Mirai DX with "_en" and without, so the ones without are unused in those. This also goes with pv_db.txt and pv_db_en.txt --Stewie1.0
Twilight Princess Intro Text
I made an edit to the introduction text to the The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess article, because the current one shows criticism (which is against the guidelines). You took down my edit and said that it wasn't criticism. The introduction text says "Are you a bad enough dude to save the Twilight Princess?". That is criticism. It's asking if you are able to save a bad game. Plus my introduction was actually informative. I would appreciate it if you would bring my edit back. --LOLDev (talk) 14:14, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
- The current intro is a parody of the intro screen from Bad Dudes (NES). The wording also doesn't call the game itself bad. I'm not sure how you're interpreting it that way. -Ehm (talk) 14:19, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
- Well, Twilight Princess is a generally hated game (because... reasons). The way I saw it was that they were saying that it was a bad game and that someone should save it. I didn't know it was a parody of something. Would it be okay if I add something informative before that part then? --LOLDev (talk) 14:24, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
- TCRF's article intros are generally humorous throwaway lines, rather than anything particularly informative, as we don't really aim to be Wikipedia. See any article started by GoldS for some funny examples. :) --GlitterBerri (talk) 20:13, 3 June 2016 (EDT)

I have an issue with exporting graphics in F 2nd. It works the same way as F (except their in a spr file), but the problem is that the format in a hex editor is backwards making it "PXT" (this doesn't happen in X). Do u think u can take a look at one? --Stewie1.0
