I'm Sorry
I'm Sorry for breaking the TCRF Rules, You are probably going to block me for a day or two. Roakidiot (talk) 17:58, 20 November 2014 (EST)
Erm...
Is it okay if I put my favorite songs from something on my userpage? --ToonAlexSora007 (talk) 15:19, 25 November 2014 (EST)
- I don't care what you put on there so long as it's a) not illegal and b) hosted externally. --BMF54123 (talk) 15:37, 25 November 2014 (EST)
- What do you mean by "illegal"? --ToonAlexSora007 (talk) 15:49, 25 November 2014 (EST)
- Um. Anything that would get you in trouble with the law? (yes, I know this entire wiki is largely a legal grey area, shut up thanks) --BMF54123 (talk) 16:03, 25 November 2014 (EST)
- Also "hosted externally" means "don't upload a bunch of personal stuff to the wiki and waste our limited server space." Use YouTube or Dropbox or something, please. --BMF54123 (talk) 16:26, 25 November 2014 (EST)
- Oh okay. --ToonAlexSora007 (talk) 16:49, 25 November 2014 (EST)

einstein95
Can you please tell him to stop talking to me in blocks and swear words? --Hiccup (talk) 06:47, 3 December 2014 (EST)
- I now realise I should not have left a message on his talk page, but it is too late now. I will just link to the message instead of reposting it here. --Hiccup (talk) 06:59, 3 December 2014 (EST)
Translated page issue
How to replace the link 开始(http://tcrf.net/Help:Contents/zh-cn/Getting_Started) with the real subpage 帮助:目录/开始(http://tcrf.net/Help:Contents/Getting_Started/zh-cn) in "http://tcrf.net/Help:Contents/zh-cn"? Thank you.— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sndream (talk) • (contribs)

Banned from IRC
Hi, I tried to join #tcrf today through the webclient, and noticed my host has a ban. I'm not sure what could cause this ban unless idling in the chatroom is against the rules (which it doesn't seem to be) or I got falsely flagged by a widespread IP ban.
Could you shed some light on this situation? Cheers. Souzooka (talk) 23:11, 13 January 2015 (EST)
- Due to the actions of one idiot, Mibbit is now banned (again). You should be able to join again. -Einstein95 (talk) 00:56, 14 January 2015 (EST)
Splitting of the Super Mario All-Stars page
Dga7696 split off the Super Mario All-Stars + SMW section and created its own page for this. I'm curious if anyone in the IRC room approved of this or he's just doing this by himself without being told. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 12:13, 29 January 2015 (EST)
- The latter. -Einstein95 (talk) 13:29, 29 January 2015 (EST)
Preferred English
Should articles be written in British English or American English? --8SomaCruzes (talk) 08:50, 3 February 2015 (EST)
- American English. -Einstein95 (talk) 09:16, 3 February 2015 (EST)
Two quick questions
Two quick questions on TCRF standards as I work on this page:
- How picky are you about image copyright tags? The multiple file uploader isn't letting me select any option but CC-by-SA variations, which didn't seem quite applicable.
- What's the stance on covering developer messages in games where the files were designed to be copied and edited? (Specifically discussing Civ II here, given that many files contain directions or tips for scenario builders, although these aren't visible in-game.)
Thank you for your assistance. Miles of SmashWiki (talk) 16:01, 19 February 2015 (EST)
- I don't think any of the staff has given much thought to the current copyright tags; personally, I don't care, but I can bring it up with the others if it's a big deal. As for the developer messages, I wouldn't bother, since they were meant to be seen by players in some manner (even if it isn't in-game). --BMF54123 (talk) 02:39, 20 February 2015 (EST)
Hi! Could you create the navigation template for the MediEvil and MediEvil II articles? --Gjlewis (talk) 13:55, 21 February 2015 (EST)
Another Demo
Hello. There's another MediEvil demo prototype with few early differences. I found them from here. Could I create the article "Proto:MediEvil (Early Timed Demo Version)" while renaming the article from "Proto:MediEvil" to "Proto:MediEvil (Rolling Demo)"?--Gjlewis (talk) 17:07, 24 February 2015 (EST)
- If a rip of the "early timed demo" is available, yes, although "Proto:MediEvil" would become a sort of "hub" with each build getting its own subpage (such as "Proto:MediEvil/Rolling Demo"). -WarioBarker (talk) 20:33, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
Separate Tag for Developer Assets
I was thinking of a tag for things that were used during development, but were not (intended to be) publicly released. This would include design documents, early scripts, and possibly concept art. I realize the last one might fit under prerelease images, but not so much the other two. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 20:41, 28 February 2015 (EST)
Question
I am the sole author of these pages (1, 2) about unused content in Densetsu no Stafy 4 on another wiki. There is a lot of information there and I am considering copying all of it over to TCRF, but I feel that it won't be worth it to re-write everything. Would you and the other staff mind if I inserted everything into the TCRF Densetsu no Stafy 4 page as it is?
If yes I want a note of attribution in some way, possibly a template that says "taken from Starfy Wiki with permission" or something like that, and I could add a "mirrored on The Cutting Room Floor" template on the Starfy Wiki pages. Thanks. Torchickens (talk) 19:15, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
- As long as the pages follow the general rules and formatting we expect here, that's fine.
- As for attribution, I would probably just add a {{source}} tag at the end of each major section with a link to the Starfy Wiki, as putting it anywhere else tends to look really tacky (and that's kind of why we have the tag anyway). --BMF54123 (talk) 19:44, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
- OK. I agree using source anywhere else doesn't look good. What I had in mind was a simple box. Does this mockup for the top of the page look good enough? Or simply using <code>Copied from Starfy Wiki with permission</code> at the top doesn't look bad in my opinion either, which one is best for you? Torchickens (talk) 20:34, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
- Erm, I dunno. None of our other pages have anything like that, and it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. Is adding the tag to the end of each section not enough? :\ --BMF54123 (talk) 20:38, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
- No. I'd like something visible that gives a reason why the content is a copy. Without a visible explanation of why there are two copies, I'd rather reword everything. May I add it in a "todo" to reword everything from the source wiki? Torchickens (talk) 22:01, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
- I guess that would be fine for now. Sorry to be nitpicky about this, I just don't want people thinking it's okay to dump terrible copy-pasted articles here as long as they add a disclaimer to the top (not implying that your articles are terrible, of course). --BMF54123 (talk) 19:50, 16 March 2015 (EDT)

Resolutions
What do you consider the native resolution for PS1 screens? The link on the help page lists multiple. Also, how should I go about covering Net Yaroze titles? Should I create articles of each game or just the demo disc they are on? TheBluegeek (talk)
- The page lists multiple resolutions because the PSX has multiple native resolutions. Many games even switched resolutions mid-game. Use pSX and follow the directions here and you shouldn't have any problems.
- As for Net Yaroze, uh, I'll have to get back to you on that. --BMF54123 (talk) 03:17, 19 March 2015 (EDT)
Obscenely Large Image - Upload vs. Link
For the Pokémon Shuffle page, there are puzzle graphics for all 719 Pokémon plus Mega Evolutions and only a select few are used at the moment. SciresM created a png file of all of the Pokémon. Rather than cutting out a bunch of Pokémon from the image and uploading all of them, I wanted to just use the big image instead. However, it's huge. 8.43MB. I know we don't usually link to images hosted outside the wiki, but such a huge file being uploaded here may cause problems, so I'm asking for your input first. For the record, here's a link to the image. --AquaBat (talk) 13:39, 23 March 2015 (EDT)
- Here's an optimized version that weighs in at 6.98MB. --M64m (talk) 14:33, 23 March 2015 (EDT)
Ah, ok
BMF54123 thank you for letting me know that i need to improve in quality. Ill be trying my best to do so. again thank you and i respect the fact that you want certain people to improve their quality. until then i will read the guidelines as you said, see ya! ~TailsFanSRB2~
F-15 Strike Eagle III
Thanks for your improvements on F-15 Strike Eagle III! Regarding your comment "I'd prefer we actually document things here than provide a bunch of external links that could vanish in the future", it seems like it sucks to copy and paste lots of stuff that I'm not planning to add value to. I certainly understand your concern about things vanishing in the future - I'm not sure how much I trust SourceForge, nor how much I trust myself to get around to finding a new host if they do in fact die. Is it possible to just have a copy/cache of that page on the wiki so it's "safe" to link to it? --DOS (talk) 23:01, 1 May 2015 (EDT)
A question
I'm making a Subpage section menu thing for a prototype, are images required in the Subpage templates on Subpages? TominatorXX (talk) 17:30, 2 May 2015 (EDT)
My edit on the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 page
Hello, i noticed you reverted my edit, i tried to re-word the edit, so that it wouldn't be redundant with "the game crashes", i'm guessing this wiki may have editing standards that i'm not used to, or something. TominatorXX (talk) 21:27, 4 May 2015 (EDT)

Questions
Heya. I'm new to the wiki, but I've been reading it and followed it for more than I recall. I've always wished to contribute somehow, and for some reason I don't really know I started today. I'm not new to wikis and stuff, but I'm not interested in the social side of the wiki (userpages, chats, forums and such) so first thing off I made a sandbox from my user page in order to start working. You can find it at LittleSkullKid/Sandbox, where I'm working on a page about Clock Tower for SNES.
English is not my first language and I'm still not into all the rules and stuff, so please take a look at the page and let me know if it's a good template that I may follow, and all that I should know (aside from standard rules about uploading pictures, editing and such- which I've already read and tried to follow strictly). I'm mostly looking out for cut text right now, as I've found people discussing the existence of it- the english fan translator of the game was not of much help, unfortunately. Once I finish this page, I'll probably move on adding all the missing title screens I can, because missing title screens really annoy me.
I actually wanted to contact Xkeeper first (but his last discussion on the talk page was back in 2014, so I decided to contact the following admin in the list) due to the fact that he created the SNES To-do page list and (I presume) wrote under Clock Tower: "Changed" graphics (Referring to Background graphics that are covered up with sprites), at least one of which is the hole in the wall where Jennifer's dad is.. I looked into that, but by toying around with layers it's pretty clear there are no hidden walls. Sorry to toss this ball back to you, but could you tell me if he's still active?
Sorry for the wall of text and please let me know.--LittleSkullKid (talk) 15:00, 19 May 2015 (EDT)
Taking DS Screen-shots
For taking DS Screen-shots, should I use "Open-GL 3.2" or "Open-GL Old"? --8SomaCruzes (talk) 20:06, 1 June 2015 (EDT)
- It doesn't really matter. (I was going to say "neither, use the software rasterizer" because OpenGL rendering is gross and not at all hardware-accurate, but apparently our own guidelines say not to use that. This warrants further testing and discussion.) --BMF54123 (talk) 20:42, 1 June 2015 (EDT)
About images
Hello, I was wondering is it OK to upload a photo that shows a situation of: The World Is Not Enough's developer photo I somehow got displayed while in main menu in full screen. I taped that immediately and recently dug the footage and took a photo of the TV set as I don't have anything to transfer VHS footage on PC (that is a glimpse of about 2 seconds anyway that I caught). --Psxdriverplayer (talk) 16:55, 2 June 2015 (EDT)
So...
We're gonna cover Yandere Simluator? We can Cover it's Debug builds. but the full game isn't complete... Roakidiot (talk) 14:26, 5 June 2015 (EDT)
- Yes, we can start soon. Technically, we started covering Minecraft during its alpha stages, so I'd say go for it. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 00:06, 18 June 2015 (EDT)
Alright, i made the page, let's get working!
Nightmare Busters
Should the Proto:Nightmare Busters page be moved to a regular page since it is a completely unreleased game that just basically got a reproduction rerelease? TheBluegeek (talk)TheBluegeek
- Done. -WarioBarker (talk) 16:14, 29 June 2015 (EDT)
PS1 Screenshots
Could you check and see if these screenshots are okay to resize with IrfanView and upload here? https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vjumsl64slwv0h8/AAAMRei5l98jbMMohV2qjLwZa?dl=0 I had to use a different emulator because psxfin and epsxe both have glitched menus.TheBluegeek (talk) 17:40, 29 July 2015 (EDT)
Stupid question according my profile (very selfish question) =3
I was told you have the power to do everything, including boring things like renaming users =3 I recently changed my nickname everywhere on the internet, even here - but of course I had to do that by creating a new account.
Do you think it's possible to merge my two accounts into my new one, more specifically, merging User:PacMani into User:Ray Koopa?
Sorry for wasting your time for my personal hickups =S Just... stab me or something if I was annoying...
*ducks* - Ray Koopa (talk) 03:58, 6 August 2015 (EDT)
- It's not really possible to "merge" accounts here. In the future, instead of creating a new account (which is kind of frowned upon), please ask an admin for a name change. --BMF54123 (talk) 06:50, 6 August 2015 (EDT)
My Question
I have a question. Why couldn't the animators for Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo couldn't fit a baby Jambo the elephant for standing on his hind legs like this?
http://humongous.wikia.com/wiki/File:Baby Jambo Standing on his Hind Legs (Storyboard).gif - Storyboard http://http://orig01.deviantart.net/15f1/f/2015/225/5/e/baby_jambo_s_position_differences_by_danielcelano-d95hwju.png - Animation
Another question, where did you find the storyboard photos of Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo?
