Sorry, I thought it was a leftover mistake by me. I should have checked the edits history.
Sorry about the categorization stuff the other day. -Hacc

Popular Request
What exactly constitutes "popular request" when it comes to deleting articles without the delete-request tags? I'm not seeing anything on the forums, either, though admittedly I haven't looked far.
In addition, how hasn't this new low-content rule been applied to the CD-i games that only have their abstract/bibliographic/copyright data listed and nothing else? -TheKins 00:12, 29 January 2012 (EST)
- There's the IRC channel as well, though I for one kind of disagree with the "delete game pages without lots of content" ideal. I dislike having to draw lines for what has enough "content" --
Xkeeper (talk) 00:34, 29 January 2012 (EST)
- I asked for the three pages to be removed for two reasons:
- - They are emulated ports of previously released games, and thus should not have their own pages (see: Virtual Console re-releases)
- - The only content specific to these ports was a header for the emulator's language file. This is about as noteworthy as compiler strings for PC games, honestly. It's hardly unused content. 犬夜叉(Inuyasha) 00:55, 29 January 2012 (EST)
- That's weird. I could have swore I asked BMF. Why am I getting answers from people who aren't BMF? -TheKins 01:45, 29 January 2012 (EST)
- Because they were in the official IRC channel when this discussion happened, and are capable of giving the same answers I would have. Kindly tone down the attitude a bit, thanks.
- Anyway, Inuyasha nailed it: it's a copyright header for a file full of language strings for a Genesis emulator. It's about as exciting and relevant as a program's "About" box, and IMO does not qualify as "unused" content. As for the CD-i abstract/bibliography/etc. files, we've been trying to decide what to do with those as well. If you're so concerned about such administrative matters, feel free to join the IRC channel and bring them up there. --BMF54123 16:28, 29 January 2012 (EST)
- Okay. Thanks for the explanation. -TheKins 01:26, 30 January 2012 (EST)
Just Wondering
In the Call of Duty: Black Ops page you said that "images lazily shoved into a gallery".Are galleries not allowed here? User:AK47Productions
- Image galleries are not an acceptable substitute for actual effort here. We'd prefer that you spend some time putting images into appropriate sections, rather than dumping them into a giant pile. There's a reason most of your pages are tagged with the {{sucks}} template. --BMF54123 20:48, 13 February 2012 (EST)
IRC
Is Badnik down for some reason, or is it just me and I got blocked somehow? I got a cryptic message just before being booted, and have been trying for over an hour unsuccessfully to get back on. Just looking for some confirmation. (Yeah, sorry. I just don't know who/where else to ask.) -YK

- It's down. It looks like someone just decided to pull the plug on the server for some reason (Spontaneous DowntimeTM?) --Devin 19:00, 16 February 2012 (EST)
- All right, that's all I wanted to know. Thanks. -YK

Earthworm Jim 1
Hey, dude. I didn't made anything with your stuff, I only added some info of the unused code. Sorry if I did something I shouldn't!!! --Gabrielwoj And I will add one more thing, it's an image.
- The edit he made after yours was fixing broken grammar someone added before you - Andlabs 19:50, 10 March 2012 (EST)
- Oh. So, I'm sorry about it. I really didn't know about it. Still thanks for telling me. --Gabrielwoj 21:52, 10 March 2012 (GMT -3)
Quick Question
Hi, I have a quick question regarding the edit summary for Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon where you called me a horrible person. I understand the AIDS thing, but how am I a horrible person for referencing YouTube Poop? Did you have a bad experience regarding YTP or something?
P.S. I apologize for coming across as rude.

Sound file types
Are OGG sound files mandatory on here or can other types such (for example mp3 or wav files) acceptable as well - AK47Productions
- Just OGG files, please. --BMF54123 06:52, 18 April 2012 (EDT)
KOF 2001
Hey man, I was wondering about something I read on another user's page - you mentioned that there was a KOF2001 page, but it appears to be gone. I was planning on looking into the game, since a lot of NeoGeo games have leftover content from other projects. What did that page contain? // Foxhack 14:32, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
- I believe it contained inaccurate information; specifically, they were some graphics that Matheus said were unused, but it was proven they were actually used and it seemed to be more of an emulation error. --From: divingkataetheweirdo 15:45, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
- Hm, I see. Well, if that's the case, is there any way for me to look at that info so I don't end up adding it by accident again? I haven't begun working on the game yet, but it'd be good to have those notes on hand if available. :) // Foxhack 16:18, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
OK
Thank you for the notification. I'm sorry, I am new here... could you rename the files for me, please?. --Acenitro 18:02, 13 May 2012 (EDT)
I have a problem. I uploaded the title screen for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 but I can't find a good size. There are only 2 versions avaliable, one is big, and the other is small, I uploaded the small one but you deleted it. What shall I do? --Acenitro 20:04, 18 May 2012 (EDT)
- Leave it alone until someone can get a proper emulated shot. --BMF54123 20:18, 18 May 2012 (EDT)
Reply
Because Super Mario Wiki does it. Also, it is basically removing junk space in the image only effecting its memory amount (not the image itself). I don't know. I do it because I am bored. Squirreldroid 20:25, 16 May 2012 (EDT)
- a) We're not Super Mario Wiki. b) Every time you replace an image, it duplicates the old one and puts a new entry in the Recent Changes log, so you're actually wasting MORE space than if you had left it alone.
- There are lots of things you could be doing to noticeably improve the wiki. Shrinking a bunch of images by a couple hundred bytes really isn't one of them. --BMF54123 20:31, 16 May 2012 (EDT)
- Not to butt in... but you might want to take a peek at his image optimizations. He converted some animated GIFs into PNGs. :\ // Foxhack 20:43, 16 May 2012 (EDT)
- I've decided to take your advice. I created a new article if it helps out. Squirreldroid 20:44, 16 May 2012 (EDT)
Blanking Talk pages
It should be noted that User:Flying Omelette blanked both her user page and removed her comments from her talk page. --From: divingkataetheweirdo 15:52, 16 June 2012 (EDT)
- Yeah, that was right around the time she left both the wiki and the forum. Since I knew the chances of her returning were slim, I didn't bother reverting the pages. --BMF54123 04:03, 17 June 2012 (EDT)
Giga Bowser gif
"the least you could have done is cropped the image to a much more manageable size; this is just lazy and unacceptable". You know, this was the first time I made a .gif, and the last time I do this site a favor.
- Sorry, I just thought that cropping the excess crap out of a gigantic GIF animation would be common sense. I don't upload my entire desktop + YY-CHR window when documenting unused graphics. --BMF54123 16:51, 30 June 2012 (EDT)
- First of all, it's not my entire desktop, it's the animation + UI.
- Second of all, this was the first time I made a .gif, to which I'm fairly new to.
- So I'm sorry I uploaded a huge .gif, but saying that I'm just lazy while I put good effort into it and wanting to help expend the article is just insulting.--Ds22 17:46, 30 June 2012 (EDT)
- You should have checked the talk page first. We discussed having a gif, and the reason why we didn't need one. --Peardian 21:48, 29 June 2012 (EDT)
Vague Images
I have renamed the images and am re-uploading them now. Please remove the old, vaguely named ones. Thanks! PatSter21 19:27, 13 July 2012 (EDT)
Unlicensed Games
I suggest a new option like "|unlicensed = Yes" to the bob, instead of the whole "Unlicensed SYSTEM" category. Thought it will be harder to split unlic games by consoled, but at least they will appear with the rest of licensed games for certain console in the same list, and there is no need in separate unl category for every other game system. currently it appears as subcat in such list, like "U Category:Unlicensed NES games", and cannot be accessed from the listst with more than one pages directly from the first page... ;( --Cah4e3 00:50, 17 July 2012 (EDT)
- I realize it's not an ideal solution, it was mostly done to keep the incoming waves of
garbageunlicensed games from cluttering up the main NES listing. We'll try to work on something more appropriate later. --BMF54123 02:07, 17 July 2012 (EDT)- Couldn't a sortkey work? Something like ° to have them appear at the very end after all the regular NES games. They would still appear in the same category, but be visually separated (and you could add a link to jump right to that part of the category listing). -- Sheeza 07:48, 17 July 2012 (EDT)
- That sounds even hackier than what we're currently doing, unless I'm misunderstanding... --BMF54123 13:21, 17 July 2012 (EDT)

Weird Namespace Thing
I wasn't sure where to ask this, but why are "Catgirl" and "Meow" two of the namespace options in the recent changes page? I don't really get that, being rather new and all. --SpongeBat1
- Hell if I know. Probably Xkeeper being a dork. --BMF54123 04:30, 21 July 2012 (EDT)
Something To Look Into
It has come to my attention that it is possible to edit someone else's user page. Someone should look into that before some trolls stir up mischief. --SpongeBat1 19:57, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
- That's...not a bug... <_< --BMF54123 20:00, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
- I know. I just think that this wiki should make it so that user pages can only be edited by the user. --SpongeBat1 21:28, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
Sonic 2 Nick Arcade
I don't "speculate". I used SonED to apply Chemical Plant Zone's 128x128 tiles and guess what, you get CPZ, no different from what it is in "Marble Zone's" version of the same level. You could debate I was speculating on the 128x128 tiles formation, but isn't that legit? After all what was written before was that the strips of land were "garbage data". That's speculation to me. And it didn't even include that it USED CPZ's palette.
So please, allow me to rollback to my own edit, I'm not here to play some cool guy who just makes up facts. --Capelino 17:55, 16 August 2012 (EDT)
The way you worded it, and your use of "maybe," made it come across as speculatory. Had you added that bit of info about using SonED to apply CPZ's tiles as proof in the first place, I wouldn't have reverted it. --BMF54123 18:11, 16 August 2012 (EDT)
- Because my use of "maybe" actually was involving "fair" speculation, as I said the broken 128x128 patterns don't resemble/point at anything in the final game. I added all the facts that are proven to be true and thus they generated more legitimate questions. You're right about that I could've included my use of SonED in the section, but I personally think it would've sounded lame for a coherent wiki page, as I don't recall many other (sonic-related and none) pages referring at any tools used to view palettes or prove the tiles pointed at something. My first edit was the original game's page, and MainMemory was kind enough to fix the some assumption mistakes I made with his own discoveries, but even he didn't say his sources. I thought it to be fine. But right now if you want me to tell my sources (even without namign the tool itself) I'll be glad to rewrite it. I'm doing this just for the sake of knowledge, because knowing a little of the mechanics in the game you begin to wonder why some things are as they are, and certainly "randomly arranged graphic data" isn't an answer, and wouldn't you guess it, it may be not that randomly arranged. Even MISSINGNO, to name one, has been referred to as a glitched pokémon but in the end it had his meaning and motivation.
- Sorry for being so prolix, I just want to make clear I'm not a kiddo and I won't be acting as one if I happen to make further (and passionate!) contributions, because I love this site. I'm not angry or anything ^^ (and I should triplecheck my edits, because two times isn't enough it seems). --Capelino 18:57, 16 August 2012 (EDT)
Luigi's Mansion NTSC Code
I hate hoarders as well, but I spent 3 days converting that code. I'll take an Amazon Gift Card if you really want the code. We can talk about it on my talk page.
