The Genesis World Heroes is... not really a port, but a mess of a game that barely resembles the original.

After getting any position on the high score list (at least 100,001 points), enter JJJ as your initials to make the picture to the left appear. Going by the credits, the people shown are James Reichert, Jonathan Murfey, and John Lawrence Walsh, three of the game's developers.

The picture will repeatedly scale toward the screen and fade out. This will continue until the console is reset or turned off. (For some reason, pressing Start causes the animation to start over.)

In the Asian version of the game, the MVS difficulty was removed and is replaced by a Sound Test.

The Asian version changes the background color from blue to black and adds the World Heroes logo.
