Unused Gear parts

I've seen some unused Gear parts listed in various FAQs. Interestingly enough, some of them protect against elements that also appear to be unused - gas, pressure, and spinner. The parts in question are:

  • AirtightHull (gas damage down 20%)
  • Ballast (+30 defense)
  • Energy Saver (reduces fuel usage)
  • Heavy Alloy (+30 defense, agility down)
  • Mirror Ar +1 (+100 defense, beam damage down 50%)
  • Molecular Ar (pressure damage down 10%)
  • ShockproofAr (spinner damage down 10%)
  • Stress Ar (pressure damage down 20%)
  • Stress Ar+1 (pressure damage down 30%)
  • Stress Mat (pressure damage down 25%)
  • Sword Veil (blocks Ether weapons)
