"Random Al Bundy quote"

  • Note: Anything that requires a lot of work... yeah you should pretty much expect someone else to look at that said item.

Steam games I frequent:

  • Zombie Panic Source (Server C40)
  • Counter-Strike
  • Fable III
  • TF2
  • Borderlands 2
  • Others

TCRF articles I created and/or added considerable contributions

My own research (unless noted) because my life is dreadfully boring and I happen to know a few assembly languages, like videogames, and am interested by weird things; what a dreadful coincidence. Never know what I'm going to do next. I rarely look to see if someone else found an item first, unless the game is famous like Metal Gear. For this reason, please feel free to correct any sources when necessary. I also rarely look for button or password codes because I'm very lazy and don't care.

Game Releases

Hopefully I can find some prototypes so we can all have them.

  • SNES Burn-In Test Cart. Lord Nightmare had the dumping equipment, I just sent him the cart for dumping.
  • Gamecube Service Disc 1.0/03 - Used LG DVD Drive to rip the ISO.
  • Gamecube demos. Not sure which versions I ripped using the same method as the Service Disc. Need to check some older threads on digitalpress and Assemblergame forums when I'm not lazy/have the time/motivation.
  • Future: Many Game Boy game revisions.

Personal projects/things of interest/projects

Super Game Boy research database (not listing until it is up-to date and has been properly formatted.) already in progress.

  • Create Arkanoid for the Super Game Boy in the same manner that was done with Space Invaders 94; run the game using native SNES code.
  • Create a VSF format (Virtual Boy Sound Format)
  • Create a ISF format (Intellivision Sound Format)
  • PLOK level editor
  • PokoNyan Yume no Diabuken Level Editor

Future GBS Rips

Aside from the ones I have done already, here are some others I plan for the not too distant future.

TODO List

No order (unless noted)

  • Pokemon TCG - Additional Orange SGB borders?
  • Finish Super Game Boy 1 and 2 BIOS dissassembly and notes page.
  • Access Japanese Super Game Boy features present in Blaster Master: Enemy Below.
  • The rest of the BS-X Magazine jingles
  • Hoyle Card Games prototype Hearts game background as seen in the instruction manual.
  • Upload the SNES Burn-in Test Cart - fonts.
  • Pro Mahjong Kiwame 1, II - debugging material/unused songs.
  • Block Kuzushi SNES - unused jingles
  • Battletoads in Battlemaniacs - unused song
  • Caravan Shooting Collection - unused music
  • Honkaku Shougi: Fuuunji Ryuuou - unused jingles, may have a debug menu
  • PGA Tour Golf - unused music

Unused music

One reason or another game developers leave music in games and don't call it either because they ultimately decided not to use the songs and removing them from the game would be more trouble than deemed worthy. Depending on the game, removing music is not always easy, usually a time consuming process, and could easily leave holes in the code as with removing anything lest the programmers are not careful. N/A Need to list.

Game Boy Advance

  • Wario Ware Twisted (The microgame Synchro... unused song... sample for Taxi Sinatra. Use two and two to put this one together)

SNES

  • Wario's Woods Unused Music

BS-X

Unused Text

Text may not always be needed and are usually implemented during beta or earlier stages of game development, usually when the story is being written or when items are created.

SNES

  • Flashback - Dummy password

Game Boy

Tons.

Unused menus

Developers testing stuff like items, events, storyline text, flags, etc, etc. Left in the same reasons unused music is left in the game.

NES

  • Really don't have a list for this type of content. Not my main focus

Unused graphics

Sprites, items or anything really. Easier and quicker to overwrite tiles with used graphics.

NES

  • Really don't have a list for this type of content. Not my main focus

Unused Areas

N/A

Unused Misc

Anything unusual that can't easily be classified such as an inventory function, script function, unused timed-events, the list goes on and on...

  • Really don't have a list for this type of content.

Game Boy

  • 98 World Cup several unused jungles and a few songs.
  • Kiraru has a PAL_TRN SGB Command though the game has no palettes.
  • Purikura Pocket 2: Kareshi Kaizou Daisakusen has a deviated default DATA_SND listing: 795D08000B8CD0F46000000000000000. It is unknown why the single entree is different from the standard listing present in all other games. Ferret Monogatari: Watashi no Okini Iri also has the same difference.
  • Millennium Winter Sports was planned to support basic SGB features.

Game Boy Printer Games

Supported or otherwise not supported offering rom text. Supported games will only list the games not on wikipedia or the faq on gamefaqs. Unfortunately very few games support the printer.

Supported

Logic - GBC E - prints password upon completing level Puzzled - GBC E U - Prints password upon completing level

Unsupported

Army Men - Sarge's Heroes 2 - GBC E U The Mummy Returns GBC E U TOCA Touring Car Championship - GBC U Microsoft - The 6 in 1 Puzzle Collection Entertainment Pack - GBC E U

Regional/Revisionary Differences

  • Pro Mahjong Kiwame GB Reprint

Unused content that I swear exists but have yet to document

  • Tetris Attack (SNES) Years ago on my Not For Resale copy I recall beating the game on 1 Player VS mode on the extra difficulty setting and getting a button password for an extensive debug CPU options mode. I'll have to look into this at some point.

SPC Sets I'm working on 2012/06/11

None. I am currently dormant with the SNESmusic project.

Finish my game collection

I am ranking 4??th in having one of the world's largest gaming collections.

Undumped Games

Games that need ROM dumps. Includes variants. I am also stating whether I own a cart/ISO for dumping purposes. I do not own any dumping abilities aside from a LG DVD drive that can rip Gamecube/Wii games. I have not opened any of my carts to check for revision variants on the ROM chip/ISO. Might do eventually, but for now I'm only listing games with noticeable variations in this case.
