1943 Kai: Midway Kaisen is an update of 1943 with tweaked weapons, fewer levels, and a new soundtrack. A localized version eventually saw release in Capcom Generations for the PlayStation and Capcom Classics Collection for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. In both collections, the title was localized as 1943 Kai: The Battle of Midway.
