A Hat in Time (Windows, Mac OS X)/Unused Graphics
This is a sub-page of A Hat in Time (Windows, Mac OS X).
The game has a fairly decent amount of unused graphics, mostly for the HUD. Even more can be found in the game's official Modding Tools.

Unused Object Graphics
Hookpoint Sprite
A basic texture of a hook in a green circle. The base class of all hooks in the game actually uses this icon as a sprite, but has it hidden in game. The icon can be seen in early Prototype footage for the game.
Electro Badge
A texture for the now-removed Electro Badge. This badge appeared in pre-release builds of the game. This graphic is loaded in-game due to it being the default texture for Badges.
Explorer Badge
A leftover from the Beta, this is the graphic used for the Explorer Badge's item model. The Badge wasn't used in the final game, and this texture has long since been removed in an update.
Hover Yarn
A texture for the physical yarn ball meant for the scrapped Hover Yarn item. This is actually still used in the final game, albeit by mistake. One of the Time Stop yarn balls in The Old Windmill has this texture applied, for some reason:
Plus 1 Badge Point
A particle graphic for gaining Badge Points, which was used in the Beta builds.
Snatcher Kid Face Graphics
Graphics for the face of Snatcher's Hat Kid form he took on the scrapped 3rd floor of Queen Vanessa's Manor. They've long since been removed from the game.
Unused Level Graphics
Title Screen Concept Art
A concept design of the game's title screen.
An additional concept design visualizing object paths. It contains some notes in yellow that are too small to read.
Sand 'n Sails Spaceship Carpet
The carpet meant to be used in the spaceship hub for Sand 'n Sails! This isn't used in the spaceship at all, but is used as the base material for all other carpets used, and needs to be loaded so that all other carpets can load. The texture used to be a much higher resolution, but was drastically reduced in late 2018 after the release of DLC 1 in order to help improve performance.
Unused Particles
Snatcher Teleporter Particles
Due to being referenced in Hat Kid's class file, the particle assets for Snatcher Teleporters are always loaded, despite being unused.
Unactivated Particles
There are some unique particles in the game that are placed in a level, but deactivated by default and are either never activated, or they're hidden.
A lightning strike particle that is placed at the intro area of Alpine Skyline. It was supposed to activate each time the player spun a tower wheel that are used to unlock the zipline to the main area of the level, but is hidden normally. The black coloring is not a rendering error of any kind; the effect appears pitch-black.
Creator DLC
Default Disc Graphic
A disc graphic that appears as the default disc on the Creator's DLC menu if the DLC has no unique disc graphic specified. As Vanessa's Curse is currently the only Creator's DLC released and it has its own disc graphic, this texture goes unused for now.
Unused Vanessa's Curse Stickers
Two graphics for two unused stickers. These are dated May 2020, making them some of the oldest assets for the DLC.
Snatcher Frowns
A texture of two different Snatchers frowning. Found in the data for the mode's intro cutscene map, and is not present in the modding tools. The texture was imported in early January of 2021, and its purpose is unknown.
