Despite the very rocky development, the video game adaptation of Alien Resurrection is one of few instances when a video game is superior to the movie it was based on.
This game is also known for being the first to use the gamepad controls popularized by Bungie's Halo series and used in almost every single shooter ever since. As well as for a certain GameSpot reviewer making a fool out of himself in the long run by criticizing said controls.
Unused Levels
Listed among the levels are Kiddies Playground and Test Level; the former is a work-in-progress version of the "Betty" stage, while the latter never loads and crashes the game after a couple of minutes.
