The Japanese version contains vowels in the Password screen, the western version replaced that with symbols. There are a few secret passwords in the Japanese version which were completely removed from the US version.

Credits
Use the password ARA1HELMET to see the credits in the Japanese version. There are no credits in the US version, they were completely removed along with the secret password code and its corresponding data.
