BS Super Mario Collection is a four-chapter Satellaview version of Super Mario All-Stars. Week 1 was an adaptation of Super Mario Bros. with an overworld system, Weeks 2-3 were based on Super Mario Bros. 3, and Week 4 was based on the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 (but otherwise the same as Week 1).

This page covers the only week known to exist today, Week 3, which was later discovered to contain Week 2's data as well. A patch to partially restore the latter can be found here.

Unused Music

Hmmm...
To do:
Add rips.

Most of the SPC music was deleted, aside from the death jingle and a few songs, in order to play Soundlink streamed audio. Setting ROM address 82E9BA42 82E9B8?? to 01-18 will play any of the remaining tracks from the Super Mario All-Stars version.

  • 04 - Mushroom House
  • 15 - Title Screen
  • 16 - Battle Mode

Items

A few items from Super Mario Bros. 3 are still present, but for some reason no longer function properly. Pro Action Replay code 7E1D80?? (where "??" is one of the values below) will replace the first item in your inventory with the specified item:

  • Anchor (0A) - Using it will crash the game.
  • Hammer (0B) - Using it will crash the game.
  • Warp Whistle (0C) - Data for World 9 was removed, so using this will crash the game.
  • Music Box (0D) - Gives the same error sound that the Hammer does in the regular Super Mario Bros. 3, but otherwise does nothing.

Debugging Features

Pro Action Replay code 7E016080 will enable debugging features as in the SNES version of Super Mario Bros. 3, which originated from the NES original. Press Select to cycle through Mario's various forms, or hold Select and press A, B, X, or Y to toggle Kuribo's Shoe.
