Debug Menu

Bb-debug.png

Near the end of the first bank of ROM (offset 0x007FBE in an unheadered ROM) is a flag which enables a debug mode when set to 00, either by using a hex editor or Pro Action Replay code 80FFBE00.

After setting the flag to 00, press A + B + Start on Controller 1 during gameplay to bring up the debug menu.

After exiting the debug menu, a new game starts with the selected settings, beginning with this aim adjustment screen which is more minimal than the one normally seen in game. The bright blue background was likely used to maximize the accuracy of the Super Scope.
