This is a sub-page of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger (PlayStation 3).

This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

As you'd expect from a fighting game which is predominantly centered around character interactions and narrative, Calamity Trigger features quite a large number of unused audio files. Keep in mind that a significant portion of these files can be listened to in-game via the comprehensive sound test featured in the Gallery.

Hmmm...
To do:
I have a feeling that many voice clips are missing, but I'm not experienced enough to figure out precisely which lines are used or not. Most of the major ones are here already, it's the smaller ones which might not be.

Scrapped Move Concepts and Distortion Drives

Cacti speak Japanese.
...But what does it mean?
This game has text or audio that needs to be translated. If you are fluent with this language, please read our translation guidelines and then submit a translation!

The vast majority of these scrapped files correspond to unused attacks which characters may have been planned to have before receiving finalized movesets. Almost every character voicebank feature clips of this sort:

Jin

Audio File Transcript/Note
"SnowStorm!" More famously known as the "Yukikaze", Hakumen can use this attack as a Distortion Drive, but Jin cannot replicate his future counterpart in Calamity Trigger. He would later gain the ability to use this attack in Continuum Shift, though he uses different audio recordings.
A second take of the above line.
"Shadow Strike!"
"Setsuna", a term which usually relates to time. Judging from this, it may have been an intended countering move.
"Ogi".
"Ginrou".
"Hiyogi".
"Yukianesa, activate! Jin prepares to attack the foe using Yukianesa. It is unknown what sort of attack this was intended to be used with, although Jin's tone of voice imply it may have been an Astral Finish concept.
"Yukianesa, let's go!" Another variant of the same general concept.
"Unleashing Armagus!" May have been another Astral Finish concept.
"Armagus Overload!" Essentially the same as the above clip. Was later used as his Burst shout in Continuum Shift.
"Armagus unleashed!" Same as the previous two.

Noel

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Gungnir!", the spear of the Norse AllFather Odin. Based on this, it's highly likely that this attack would've been a Distortion Drive. Unlimited Noel does indeed receive a Distortion Drive called Gungnir as of Continuum Shift: EXTEND.
A different recording of the above clip.
"Shiva!", the third god of the Hindu triumvirate.
A second recording of "Shiva" from the B voice set.
What appears to sound like "Hell". However, Noel's soft tone contrasts significantly with everything that Hell, well, stands for, making it difficult to determine what sort of attack this could be.
The B side of "Hell", the above recording in Noel's second voice bank.
"Steel Maiden!" A cool name, but leaves much to the imagination.
A second recording of the above line.
"Bolverk!" The distress in Noel's voice implies this was an Astral Finish concept.
"Bolverk, please!" Serves the same purpose as the above clip. This clip is used in Continuum Shift: EXTEND for the Gungnir Distortion Drive documented above.
"Let's go Bolverk!", Bolverk Bolverk Bolverk Bolverk? Bolverk Bolverk Bolverk.

Rachel

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Gypsophila", a variant of flower. Likely would've served as an attack involving petals, or perhaps more likely as an early name of the below attack.
"Impish Gypsophila", the name of her pumpkin attack which is blown by Silpheed. It is unknown as to why this clip isn't used.
"Dia Nympha."
"Rabbit's Adonis". This becomes an actual attack for Unlimited Rachel in Continuum Shift: EXTEND.
"Weeping Willow".
"Fright Primrose."
"Radical Thorn", another plant-based move.
"Cardinal Floriosa", yet another move which seems to find its roots in flora. This attack was added to Unlimited Rachel's moveset in ChronoPhantasma, albeit changed ever so slightly to Cardinal Gloriosa.
"Come forth lightning!" Likely intended for Baden Baden Lily, but was swapped out and replaced with the attack's name.
"Time to repent." Appears to have the same context as the line above.

Taokaka

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Everyone gather!" May have been a Distortion Drive similar to Felicia's "Everybody Help!" super in Darkstalkers or Tron Bonne's Lunch Time attack from the Marvel VS. Capcom series. Unlimited Tao receives a similar attack in Continuum Shift: EXTEND, but this clip remains unused.
"I smell food!"
"Spit it!"
"You don't have any!" These three strings combined imply that a Distortion Drive where Tao (forcefully) frisks the opponent to find hidden food was planned, but scrapped midway in development.

Tager

Audio File Transcript/Note
An alternative take of the Genesic Emerald Tager Buster Distortion Drive.
Another alternative take, this time for his Tagers Astral Finish.
What sounds like "Battle Galager!"
"Super Magnetic Typhoon!" Could have either been an old name for the Magna Tech Wheel, or an entirely different Distortion altogether.
Hard to make out, but it sounds like "Pedalhot Scissors!"
"Magnetic Knuckle!" Potentially an early name for the Terra Breaker Distortion.
"Excell XI!"
"Magnetic Kick!"
"Zeta Swing Smasher!"
"Magnetic Lariat!" Potentially another early name for the Magna Tech Wheel.
"Infinity Drive Tornado!"
"Magnetic Chop!"
"Magnetic Body Press!" A body press attack is part of Unlimited Tager's moveset in BlazBlue: ChronoPhantasma.

Litchi

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Byakko!"
"Genbu!"
"Seiryu!"
"Suzaku!"
"Byako!"
"Four God's Wrath!"
An alternate take of her Astral Finish.

Bang

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Burning Bang!"
"Fire Bang!" This is very likely the same attack as above.
"Shishigami Ninpo!" A Distortion Drive which uses this voice clip to start it off is present in Continuum Shift.
"Rolling Crash!"
"Rolling Thunder!" Yes, like Dudley's.
"Bang Counter!" Obviously intended for a counter Distortion Drive akin to Hakumen... or perhaps after using his Drive, but even for Bang that would maybe be too grating...
"Sushi? I've never had it before. What, Sukiyaki?" Although this sounds very much like filler dialogue, this actually became an attack for Unlimited Bang (Sushi - Sukiyaki - Banzai) as of Continuum Shift.
"Pierce my enemy!" Possibly intended to follow one of his supers?

Carl

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Going gently!" A possible move concept where Carl may have approached the opponent more cautiously?
"Going strong!" A very similar variation is used in-game, leaving this take on the cutting room floor... quite literally.
"Pawn!"
"Rook!"
"Bishop!" You'll notice a theme here...
"Knight!" Yup, the chess references keep on coming.
"Checkmate!" These may have served as consecutive special moves early on in Carl's development, before the developers prioritized his reliance on Nirvana.
"Ritardato!" Means "delayed".
"Comando!" Means "Commanding".
"Malinconia!". Means "melancholy".
"Dolore!", which translates roughly to "Grief" or "Sorrow".
"Tenerezza!", which translates to "Tenderness". This move was added to Carl's repertoire in ChronoPhantasma.

V-13

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Lifting restriction #666." The typical "Activating the Azure" speech was likely intended for the beginning of her Astral Finish, which instead uses "Releasing Murakumo Unit". It may also have been intended for Unlimited Nu, in a cutscene similar to the one playing before Unlimited Ragna.
An alternate take of the line above.
"Overclocking Murakumo Unit." Unknown as to where this clip could be used.
"Aegis."
Another alternate take.
"Regalia."
"Caduceus."
"Diverger."
"Gain Deva."
"Otoche."
"Pragwen."
"Virgin Pragwen."
"Recurrent Turfing."
"Symplegades."
"Gatuna Shirka."
"Accalte."
Hard to make out, but sounds similar to "Dineslave."

Miscellaneous Audio

Ragna

Audio File Transcript/Note
"I'm not sucking your blood 'cause it tastes good!" This quote is highly unusual as Ragna shows no vampiric tendencies in the series, nor does this quote appear to have any context where it could've been used.
"You're... not a ghost are you?" This clip was likely a pre-match dialogue, but it is unknown who it would apply to, if anybody in the current roster.
"A ghost? That's not right!" Same context as the above quote. If you didn't already know, Ragna is terrified of ghosts.
"You stay out of this!" This line is grouped in with the dialogue from Ragna's Astral Finish, but makes absolutely no sense when placed there.
"I can't... stop it!" Grouped in the same location as the above sound, only this line makes a lot more sense, and implies that Ragna loses any sense of self-control when using Black Onslaught.

Jin

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Feel my wrath." Based on Jin's rather bored tone of voice, this appears to have been a generic battle line.
"I am a Kisaragi!" An unusual line, given that Jin's background has him dissatisfied with his position as a Kisaragi member.

Noel

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Don't talk about my breasts!" Fans of the game noticed this scrapped line very quickly in the Gallery, for... obvious reasons. Sadly, Noel's A-cup angst was restricted to her dialogue against Litchi.
The same line as above, only in a more pouty and insecure tone.

Taokaka

This cat has a ridiculous amount of audio which was scrapped, and as you'd expect from Tao, absolutely none of it has any substance whatsoever.

Audio File Transcript/Note
"V!"
"I!"
"C!"
"T!" This is building up to something...
"O!"
"R!"
"Y!" VICTORY! It seems Tao would've originally had a victory quote where she spells out the word victory... which never seemed to surface.
"Two!"
"Spinning!"
"Spinny spinny!"
"Stretchy!" This was later used along with the "SANDWICH!" line for her wallstick special in Continuum Shift.
"Eat that!"
"Where?"
"YA!" All of these appear to be very generic quotes to be used in fights, but they are oh so very Tao.
*karate noises*
*more karate noises*
"Ha CHING!"
"This is it!" The reverb effect and serious tone of voice imply this was to be used for a Distortion Drive... though it was probably cut since it made Tao sound too focused.
"Ahh, that's a secret!" No context as to where this clip could've been used.
"Tao's the best!" A likely victory quote. Unknown why it was scrapped though.
"SANDWICH!" Yes, this is actually a line. Later used for her wallstick move in Continuum Shift, as noted above.

Tager

Audio File Transcript/Note
"THIS is power!" A rather fearsome line which may have been intended for use after a Distortion Drive or even Tager's Astral Finish. It is unknown why it was cut.
"Kokonoe, I'm gonna have to do this my way." Another line which fans noticed rather quickly, and speculated immensely over the possibility of a playable Kokonoe for this line to correspond to. It was more than likely intended to simply be a generic pre-battle line however, with no relation whatsoever to Kokonoe.

Litchi

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Please, Lao Jiu!" While this may have been intended for a Distortion Finish based on the reverb effect, it is difficult to determine anything from this line.
"I'm not an airbag!" Another line fresh out of BlazBlue's breast-related humour book. This may have been intended for Taokaka, the only character who displays infatuation towards Litchi's... airbags.
What appears to be "Juicy Party A!"... OK.

Bang

Audio File Transcript/Note
"You... are in need of training!" May have served as a victory quote.
"I don't feel any weight behind your fists!" While this may have followed the proposed Counter Distortion mentioned above, this clip is another one which is difficult to ascertain.

Carl

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Do you enjoy it?" Again, the reverb suggests possible use during a Distortion Drive, possibly Rhapsody of Memories, though this is impossible to clarify.
"Ada!" This clip may have been used for when Ada is temporarily deactivated after sustaining too much damage... Though if used continuously it would be very grating seeing as disabling her neutralizes Carl as a threat, and so is what you'd theoretically want to do every time you fight Carl.

V-13

Audio File Transcript/Note
"Aya!" This is very likely just a generic battle cry, though the reverb may also imply it being a special move.
"I will destroy everything!" Again, the reverb implies that this quote would be used during a Distortion Drive, possibly Calamity Sword.
