This page details bugs of Sonic the Hedgehog CD (2011).

Very Low Clear Time

Activate the final checkpoint in any level, then wait until the timer hits 10 minutes (while moving around enough to prevent Sonic from jumping off the stage). The player will be taken back to the checkpoint, but with the timer reset to 0, allowing for a very fast stage clear time which will even be counted on the leaderboard.

Note that this cannot be done in Time Attack since checkpoints aren't set in levels in that mode.

Debug Mode Time Travel Softlock

With Debug Mode active, press the button to switch to item placement mode when the time travel sound effect starts playing during the white transition. If done correctly, the green background will show in the top-left part of the screen and multiple sprites of Sonic will show in the bottom-left and the sound effect will play as normal, but the player cannot progress any further.

Metallic Madness Bad Future with all Time Stones

For whatever reason, the player can end up in the Bad Future version of Metallic Madness Zone 3 even after having collected all of the Time Stones. However, this will not affect the ending of the game.

This is also known to occur in Wacky Workbench and Stardust Speedway.

Incorrect Display of the Hurt Animation

In Metallic Madness Zone 3, when a column with spikes flies over and the player switches the plan, the animation display will break.

Boss Breakdown in Quartz Quadrant Zone 3

The essence of the bug is that when the player activates the boss and gets very close to the boss very quickly, the Boss will start to break, because the player broke the script with his action.

Tidal Tempest Act 1 Background Bug

If the player accelerates at the beginning and then climbs to the ceiling of the level with the help of two lifts, then the background will be broken, as shown in the video.

Miscolored "See you next game" Background

In the remaster, the background of the "See you next game" screen was altered and presumably bugged. Originally, it used a single shade of blue, but in the remake, it features a secondary shade of blue in the center of the screen.
