An animation studio born from the spite of Jeffery Katzenberg, former Disney chairman, who vowed to found a media conglomerate alongside filmmaker Steven Spielberg and music executive David Geffen spanning across both animated and live-action films, TV, music and video games that would directly compete with Disney. It didn't quite work, as only the animation studio remains in the public interest, with all the other attempted branches getting split up across multiple companies. This studio, now under NBCUniversal, is known for creating stories themed around ogres, animals from the Big Apple & ancient China, rideable dragons and musical-loving trolls.
