In 2003, Sega reorganized their development studios and as a result, Overworks and WOW Entertainment were formed to become Sega WOW. However, before deciding on that name, they originally went with WOW Works. In 2004, the studio was split into two units of Sega's GE R&D division while the rest moved to AM1.
