webOS has a pretty interesting history of changes in ownership, purpose, and naming schemes. Starting life in 2009 as a mobile-focused Palm webOS by none other than Palm, the platform was later passed down to Hewlett-Packard (HP) in 2010, becoming HP webOS and then Open webOS after HP made it open-source. It was sold again in 2013 to LG, which retooled it as a smart devices operating system under the name of LG webOS.
This category covers games published for the versions of webOS during HP's tenure. Although there still are games that you can download directly on LG's smart TVs, they won't have the same selection of games that mobile devices generally have.
