After learning that Isaac Tiven created the Argus Implant in his head, Ben heads to Zaphire Biotech in Australia to confront him.

Zaaphire Security Checkpoint

Official description:

Heading deeper into the facility, Ben must get past Zaphires security check point before entering the Labs, where Isaac Tiven most likely would be.

Zaaphire Tech Labs

Official description:

Inside the lab Ben confronts Isaac Tiven. He learns Zaphires plan to go public and the rapid unehtical testing they have done with Reizol to move it to market more quickly. Isaac informs Ben that an old friend is waiting for him deeper in the lab.

Zaaphire R&D

Official description:

Ben finds his old squad mate, Sam Duarte, deep in Zaphire Biotech. It seems Sam is being recruited by the Tyrants to take Ben's place. Sam thinks Ben betrayed him and is hellbent on revenge. Before they get too far into their conversation, Namir, Barret, and Federova appear, knocking Ben unconcsious. Namir is sure to let Ben know that he could kill him if he wanted to. When Ben comes to, he is aboard Alex's chopper. They traced the Tyrants and are headed to New York.

New York

The Helipad

New York Streets

Official description:

The big apple is home to the biggest, best, and brightest in the world. Here Ben has access to New Yorks Limb Clinic, the Helipad, Metrdyne Bank, Subway, and the Crystal Hotel.

Progression:

• Upon starting the level the player gets the "FIND ANNA KELSO" quest.
  • Objective: GO TO THE THALASSIAN HOTEL
  • Description: I recieved a message from Anna. She's in New York, staying at a hotel. She didn't give me any more information than that.
• After visiting Anna the "ARGUS IMPLANT" quest marker points to the limb clinic.
• After visiting Isaac the "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest marker points to the subway.
  • After visiting Widow the quest marker then points to the bank.
  • After completing the bank the quest marker points to the subway.
• After escaping the Belltower raid on the carrier the quest points to the UGSE.
  • The secondary objective points to the subway, suggesting perhaps the main entrance was connected to the street and an optional route through the UGSE basement via the subway.

Crystal Hotel / Thalassian Hotel / Hotel Nautica

Hotel Lobby

Official description:

After receiving Anna's scrambled comm message, Ben tries to convince the receptionist to tell him Anna's room number.

Progression:

• Entering the hotel likely updated the "FIND ANNA KELSO" quest.
  • Objective: FIND ANNA'S ROOM NUMBER
  • Description: Anna is staying at the Hotel Nautica. But I don't know what room she's in. Maybe I can find some information in the lobby.
• The objective points to the lobby receptionist.
• It is likely talking to the receptionist provided a conversation challenge, from which the player would get a key to Anna's room.
• After finding Anna's room number, the objective is updated to the elevator up to her.
• The quest likely updates from here.
  • Objective: TALK TO ANNA
  • Description: I have access to Anna's room. She's waiting for me upstairs.
• After talking to Anna, the quest marker points back to the street.

Notes:

• The goal calls this place Thalassian Hotel or Hotel Nautica while the description for the hub level calls it the Crystal Hotel.
  • Thalassian and Nautica both relate to the sea and could be the same hotel, or the player could have to search around for the correct hotel.

Hotel Floors

Official description:

Once Ben finds Anna, she sends Ben to Limb to get his Argus Implant removed. She is suspicious that they are being monitored in the hotel and suggests they leave.

Progression:

• Visiting this level without knowing where Anna is tells you go to back to the lobby.
• Knowing where Anna is points the quest marker to her.
• There is a trigger at her door, likely requiring her to let you in.
• Talking to Anna completes the "FIND ANNA KELSO" quest and starts the "ARGUS IMPLANT" quest.
  • Objective: VISIT NY LIMB
  • Description: Anna tracked down a doctor who can remove the Argus Implant from my head. He's preparing a room for my surgery at the NY LIMB Clinic.
  • The quest marker then points back to the elevator.

New York Limb Clinic

Official description:

Once at Limb, Ben is surprised to find Isaac Tiven who has had a change of heart. He removes Ben's Argust Implant. They decide to follow the money and need access to Zaphires financial records. Anna knows a hacker who could get the job done residing on the old Carrier.

Progression:

• Coming here during the "FIND ANNA KELSO" or "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest points the marker back to the street.
• Coming here during the "ARGUS IMPLANT" quest points the marker to Isaac Tiven.
• A cutscene operation removing the implant plays.
  • The cutscene starts.
  • After 3 seconds the camera position changes.
  • 0.5 seconds later an infolink message from Anna plays (unknown dialogue).
  • 11.5 seconds later an infolink message frmo Isaac plays explaining something (unknown dialogue).
  • 32 seconds later another infolink message from Anna plays, wrapping things up (unknown dialogue).
  • 11.5 seconds later the cutscene ends.

The Subway

Official description:

The subway has become a dangerous place lately, overrun with Anarachists. Here Ben can access the Pier, New York Streets, and the UGSE. After Anna is kidnapped, Namir contacts Ben here and tells him to watch the news. Here he sees that the UGSE is under seige and heads there to save Anna.

Progression:

• Coming here during "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest before talking to Widow points the quest marker to the pier, otherwise it points to the street.
• Coming here during "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest after hacking the bank points to the pier.
• Coming here during the "ESCAPE THE CARRIER" quest points the marker to an area to an area away from the Belltower enemies.
  • The marker then points to a screen, likely a TV screen.
    • A news broadcast plays, the player then gets knowledge of an underground route leading to a tunnel, likely to the UGSE basement.
    • This starts the "RESCUE ANNA" quest.
      • Objective: RESCUE ANNA
      • Description: Sam has taken Anna and he's holding her at the United Global Stock Exchange.

Notes:

• It had at least two levels or sections, a North and South section.

Pier 19

Official description:

The Pier is home to all kinds of riff raff and undesierables. Docked at this pier is a Carrier that has been overrun by hackers. Ben seeks their help in tracking down the financial records for Zaphire.

Progression:

• Coming here during "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest before talking to Widow points the quest marker to the USS Intrepid entrance, otherwise it points to the street.
• Coming here during "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest after hacking the bank points to the USS Intrepid entrance.
• If the "ESCAPE THE CARRIER" quest is set, the quest marker is set to the subway.

The Carrier

Official description:

Once a proud military vessel, the Carrier has been taken over by a group of Hackers headed by Widow. Ben asks for help accessing Zaphires records at the Metridyne Bank in return for the financial benefit Widow can recieve if they are successful. Before they can start, Ben must physically infiltrate the bank to plant an uplink. After successfully placing the uplink, Ben returns and Widow begins her hack. It isn't long before they are traced and Belltower attacks the carrier! Ben sees through Anna's eye augmentations that she is kidnapped by Sam.

Progression:

• Coming during "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest before talking to Widow points the quest marker to Widow in her chair, otherwise it points to the exit.
• Coming here at this point likely updates the quest:
  • Objective: TALK TO WIDOW
  • Description: I'm looking for the hacker Widow aboard the old carrier. I need to convince her to help me hack the Metridyne Bank, and uncover Zaphire Biotech's financial records.
• Talking to Widow once again updates the quest:
  • Objective: INFILTRATE METRIDYNE BANK
  • Description: Widow agreed to hack Metridyne's central server and recover Zaphire Biotech's financial records. But I have to plant an uplink inside the bank before she can launch the cyber attack.
• Coming during "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest after hacking the bank points the quest marker to Widow.
  • This apparently sets Janus's monitor to active, likely for a conversation.
• At some point this sets a cutscene where Anna is kidnapped to play.
  • With an actor called "AnnaScreenCamera" it's possible Janus' screen showed Anna's perspective in the apartment.
  • The cutscene starts.
  • 1.5 seconds later an infolink message plays (unknown dialogue).
  • 11.5 seconds later Sam breaks in, an infolink message plays (unknown dialogue), the camera changes to show Anna being kidnapped by Sam.

Metridyne Bank

Metridyne Bank Lobby

Official description:

After getting the uplink from Widow, Ben infiltrates Metridyne to plant it.

Metridyne Bank Server

Official description:

Deep within Metridyne, Ben plants the uplink and escapes back to the Carrier where Widow is waiting to hack Zaphire's financial records.

Progression:

• Coming during "UNCOVER THE TRUTH" quest after talking to Widow points the quest marker to the uplink location, otherwise it points to the exit.
• After planting the uplink the quest is updated:
  • Objective: RETURN TO WIDOW
  • Description: The uplink is in place. I asked Widow to hold off on the cyber attack until I return.
• The player's quest marker is pointed back to the exit.

United Global Stock Exchange

Basement

• The player's quest marker is explicitly pointed to the stairs, suggesting this level is only accessible during the end of the game, likely after discovering the underground tunnel.

Notes:

• There is no explicit information on this level except for the final battle on the roof.
  • Eliza Cassan mentions that the building is swarmed with protesters, potentially making the basement the entrance, especially with the connection via the subway.

The Trading Floor

The Rooftop

Official description:

Ben finds Anna and Sam on the roof of the UGSE for the final showdown.

Progression:

• Upon starting the level the player's primary goal marker is set to Sam, the secondary is set to a bomb's location.

Notes:

• No text for objectives exists except scripts pointing the markers for the primary objective to Sam and the secondary to a bomb.
  • With Anna being kidnapped and this objective being secondary, it's possible the bomb was a choice to save her, though no other scripting or flag related to that exists.
• Dialogue from Sam suggests a conversation with him played, unless you decided to immediately attack him.

The Sewers

• This level, like the Panama version, was likely dropped, no script file exists for it.

Other

The image for a bank vault isn't tied to any level except a potential test map called WB_NYBank_Jeff. Jeff likely being Jeffrey Birns, creative director.

Isaac had a conversation which would fulfill a secondary objective and give the password for a nearby computer. It's unclear if this would be his conversation in Australia or New York.

Recap

After leaving from the Hotel Etana roof in Panama, Ben Saxon flies to Australia with Alex Vega. There he lands on the Zaaphire Biotech rooftop in Brisbane to find Isaac Tiven, noted human augmentation expert as described by Eliza Cassan, to confront him about the Argus Implant in his head that he created. As he moves into Zaaphire Biotech he becomes aware that they were expecting him, the offices are empty, combat rifles are found in the executive offices. Ben gets past the security checkpoint inside the building to gain access to the labs, where Isaac Tiven is. After confronting Isaac he informs Ben that an old friend is waiting for him deeper in the lab. Inside the Zaaphire R&D area Ben finds his old squad mate, Sam Duarte. It seems Sam is being recruited by the Tyrants to take Ben's place. Sam thinks Ben betrayed him and is hellbent on revenge. Before they get too far into their conversation, Namir, Barret, and Federova appear, knocking Ben unconcsious. Namir is sure to let Ben know that he could kill him if he wanted to. Ben arrives in New York at a helipad, and works his way down to the street level. Once there he gets a scrambled infolink message from Anna that she is also in New York, staying in a hotel, Ben then enters the hotel attempting to get a key and room number from the receptionist. If he succeeds he then takes the elevator up to her. When at her door something happens, and then he enters and they talk, Anna mentions that a certain doctor can remove the implant and he's preparing a room for the surgery at the local LIMB clinic.

Going through the streets to the LIMB clinic, once there Ben finds out that the doctor is actually Isaac Tiven who had a change of heart. He performs the surgery in an in-game cutscene, two infolinks from Anna and one from Isaac play. They decide to follow the money trail for Zaaphire Biotech, with Isaac saying the Tyrants manipulated their finances. They decide to try to find evidence of what they are up to next, with Anna suggesting contacting Nadine Stollock, AKA 'Widow' for assistance hacking.

Leaving LIMB and going through the streets Ben enters the subway full of anarchists to access Pier 19, where the USS Intrepid is docked and Widow is based. The pier is full of "undesirables" and the carrier taken over by hackers. Ben enters the carrier, going upstairs to Widow. Ben asks Widow for help accessing Zaaphire's financial records at the Metridyne Bank in return for Widow receiving financial benefit from the job. She agrees and Ben returns to the streets to access the bank to plant an uplink device to allow her to hack the facility. Once in the bank Ben uses a ladder to access the server level, once there he manages to plant the uplink device but asks Widow to halt the cyber attack until he returns to the carrier.

Returning back to the carrier, Ben allows Widow to follow through on the cyber attack, Janus is likely involved here in his usual monitor form. In the process they are quickly traced and Belltower attacks the carrier. Ben watches through Anna's eye augmentation that Sam breaks in and kidnaps her, three infolinks play with unknown talkers and messages (likely Anna). Ben escapes the Belltower attack force in the carrier and on the pier and returns to the subway, there, he moves further in away from additional Belltower troops before he's safe. In the subway he is lead to a screen with a news report on it (likely from Eliza Cassan), from this he gains knowledge that Sam is holding Anna on the top of the United Global Stock Exchange building and that there is an underground tunnel leading to the basement of the building, alternatively, he can return to the streets and enter through the front doors (though Eliza Cassan mentions protesters around the building earlier).

Once in the UGSE basement he takes stairs up to the trading floor, and from there goes to the roof access. At the roof Sam is there along with Anna, Sam wishes to talk before the conflict but Saxon can initiate combat immediately if desired. In some regard a bomb is involved and is marked as a secondary objective, but it's not given any other detail other than being able to be disarmed. From here, Sam is likely defeated despite his 5000hp pool and Anna is saved.
