Development:Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition
This page details development materials of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition.
In October 2022, two portfolios of a Grove Street Games developer were found on ArtStation where he published some screenshots of one of the first versions of the Definitive Edition of San Andreas, which gives us an idea of how it was developed in the Unreal Engine 4. Time after both portfolios were deleted from your ArtStation.
The first thing that stands out are the widgets and HUD of the mobile version, because this version is used as a base to make the Definitive Edition. Also in the background you can see how some models from the original version were still used, such as polygonal bushes or trees. The EnEx Market at CJ's house also looks a bit different.
Another portfolio from the same developer shows the creation of some vehicles within UE4.
