Worth noting is that most of the first backup is untranslated, with the remainder of the localized text only added in 2-9-2.txt.

Miscellaneous changes include:

• Internally, the apostrophe is represented by the backtick, but the message "Don't be a thief!" uses the former is accidentally used instead of the latter. Fixed in 2-9-2.txt.
• Trainer tips originally started with "TRAINER TIPS!". The exclamation mark was later dropped in 2-9-12.txt.
• Early on, the dialogue of Viridian City's "caterpillar guy" was swapped, with the Yes/No responses in each other's spot. Fixed in 2-9-13.txt.
• The first line of the "NOTICE!" sign in Vermilion City was left untranslated in 2-9-2.txt. Fixed in 2-9-3.txt.
• The Softboiled explanation text mistakenly adds a second text pointer id (message_id:msg5_2_6_TOWN07). Removed in 2-9-3.txt.
• The Silph Co. sign in Lavender Town went from "SILPH CO." to "SILPH Co.," in 2-9-6.txt. Reverted in 2-9-16.txt and finalized in 2-9-18.txt.
• "RESEARCH", "LAB", "GYM", and "SAFARI GAME" were decapitalized in 2-9-6.txt. All reverted in 2-9-11.txt, except "GYM ", which was reverted in 2-9-15.txt.
• Oddly enough, "The Port of Exquisite Sunsets" was decapitalized in 2-9-18.txt. Only finalized in i_msg2_9.dmg0.
• A handful of control character typos were fixed in 2-9-2.txt.
• A handful of control character mistakes were fixed in 2-9-6.txt.
• Unecessary space were trimmed in 2-9-6.txt and 2-9-20.txt.
