Set a new high score with 33, 37, 73, or 77 as the ten thousands and thousands digits, then lose your last life by falling. Afterwards, set the game difficulty to 4 by pressing Option (×3), then wait through the end of the demo where Donkey Kong jumps across the screen. Upon returning to the title screen, programmer Landon Dyer's initials (LMD) will be displayed below the copyright info.

This Easter egg is infamous in the Atari 8-bit community for the fact it took 26 years to be discovered.
