After making a stellar 8-bit port of the original Ecco the Dolphin, the same team went on to port "The Tides of Time" to the Game Gear. The surprising result is a rushed mess with a broken plot.

Debug Menu

At the map screen, press Left, 1, 2, 1, 2, Down, 2, Up for the debug menu. In addition to the features offered in the first game, there is also a camera adjuster.

This menu is glitched in the Master System version. The cursor does not appear in the correct position, due to the Master System port not taking into account the different screen size.

Developer Message

Present at 0x6600 in the ROM is a hidden developer message.

WE DEDICATE THIS GAME TO OUR CHILDREN DOROTTYA AND MANO
