Evolution Worlds
Evolution Worlds |
---|
Also known as: Shinki Sekai Evolutia (JP) This game has unused graphics. |
This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
Evolution Worlds combines Sting's Dreamcast RPG Evolution: The World of Sacred Device with its sequel Evolution 2: Far Off Promise to create two games in one... in theory, at least.
To do: Just about everything; Add in the rest of the dialogue, move it all to an audio subpage, investigate remnants of World of Sacred Device's dungeon music, put the English and Japanese title screens under Regional Differences... |

Unused Graphics
taiken.tpl
It contains a message reading "E3 Demo - Work in Progress". This would have been used in an E3 demo build of the game.
gameover.tpl
Along with the actual game over screen in the game, it also contains this message reading "Coming to stores Summer of 2002".
Unused Audio
A lot of audio goes unused, primarily in the first half. Interestingly, it seems like more of the first game was going to be retained at one point in development.
Note that most of these closely match the dialogue of the Dreamcast version.
Imperial Soldiers
Worlds skips the Pannam Port and most of the Kronprinz, cutting straight to Eugene's throne room. Likewise, the final assault on the Kronprinz cuts all but four of the soldiers' dialogue. As a result, all of these go unused.
As the game gives every NPC voiced dialogue, a number of these have similar wording but are different takes. The soldiers are referred to by their audio file names unless otherwise noted.
V-Formation
The V-Formation consists of three soldiers: IC1, IC2, and IC3.

"When I get home, I'll take the promotion exam and be set for life. I am so glad I joined the military." | |
"Wait, this is way to the food hold. The steps to the command room are on the other side." | |
"I am so lucky to be under the prince's direct command. All I have to do is go home and take the promotion exam." | |
"But if he notices us in battle, we won't even have to bother with some exam. We'll be picked up right from the lines." | |
